6.1 Powering On/Off
Press the ON/MEAS button to power on the meter. The LCD will illuminate and display the current readings. To power off, press and hold the ON/MEAS button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The meter also features an auto-power-off function after a period of inactivity.
6.2 Measurement Modes (A/V/D)
The METRAVI 908 can measure Acceleration (A), Velocity (V), and Displacement (D).
- Press the A/V/D button to cycle through the measurement modes.
- The selected mode will be indicated on the LCD display (e.g., m/s² for acceleration, mm/s for velocity, mm for displacement).
6.3 Temperature Unit Selection (°C/°F)
Press the °C/°F button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit for temperature readings.
6.4 High/Low Frequency Selection (HI/LO)
Press the HI/LO button to select the desired frequency range for vibration measurement. This allows for selective vibration characteristic analysis.
6.5 Maximum Value Hold (MAX HOLD)
Press the MAX HOLD button to capture and display the maximum measurement value recorded during a session. Press it again to exit this mode.
6.6 Taking Measurements
- Ensure the meter is powered on and the desired measurement mode (A, V, or D) is selected.
- Carefully place the probe tip firmly against the surface of the object you wish to measure. For stable readings, use the magnetic base if applicable.
- Observe the readings on the LCD display. The meter will continuously update the vibration and temperature values.
- For optimal accuracy, ensure good contact between the probe and the measurement surface.
