Setup
1. Powering the Main Unit
- Insert 2 AA alkaline batteries (not included) into the main unit's battery compartment for backup.
- Plug the 5V AC power adapter into a wall outlet and then into the main unit. The display will light up.
2. Setting Up the Outdoor Sensor
- Insert 2 AA alkaline batteries (not included) into the TX141TH-Bv2 outdoor sensor.
- Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded location, protected from direct sunlight and rain, for accurate readings. Ensure it is within 300 feet (91 meters) of the main unit.

3. Initial Sensor Connection
Once both units are powered, the main unit will automatically search for and connect to the outdoor sensor. This process may take a few minutes. If the outdoor readings do not appear, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
Operating Instructions
1. Display Overview
The main unit's display is divided into several sections:
- Outdoor Section: Displays outdoor temperature, humidity, trend arrows, and sensor signal strength.
- Indoor Section: Displays indoor temperature, humidity, and trend arrows.
- Time/Calendar Section: Shows current time, weekday, month, and date.
- Alerts: Icons indicate active temperature or humidity alerts.
- Battery Indicators: Shows battery status for both units.
2. Setting Time and Calendar
- Press and hold the SET button to enter the settings menu.
- Use the + or - buttons to adjust values.
- Press the SET button to confirm and move to the next setting (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, date, weekday).
- Exit the settings menu by pressing the SET button until normal display resumes or wait for 20 seconds.
3. Setting Temperature and Humidity Alerts
- Press and hold the ALERTS button to enter alert setting mode.
- Use the + or - buttons to adjust the desired high or low alert values for outdoor temperature, outdoor humidity, indoor temperature, and indoor humidity.
- Press the ALERTS button to confirm each setting and move to the next.
- To arm or disarm an alert, press the + or - button when the alert value is flashing.
- Exit alert settings by pressing ALERTS until normal display or wait for 20 seconds.
4. Adjusting Backlight
Press the SNOOZE/BACKLIGHT button to cycle through the backlight brightness levels (High, Low, Off). The unit also features an auto-dimming option to adjust backlight settings automatically based on time.

Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
- Main Unit: If using optional AA batteries for backup, replace them when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
- Outdoor Sensor: Replace the 2 AA batteries in the TX141TH-Bv2 sensor when the low battery indicator for the remote sensor appears on the main unit.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the display and unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals.
3. Sensor Placement
Ensure the outdoor sensor remains in a shaded, well-ventilated location to avoid inaccurate readings due to direct sunlight or heat sources. Protect it from heavy rain or snow to prolong its lifespan.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your monitor, try the following solutions:
- No Outdoor Readings: Ensure the outdoor sensor has fresh batteries and is within the 300-foot range of the main unit. Try re-syncing the sensor by removing batteries from both units, then reinserting them first into the sensor, then into the main unit.
- Inaccurate Readings: Verify the outdoor sensor is placed in a shaded, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or reflective surfaces. Compare indoor readings with another reliable thermometer.
- Display Not Working: Ensure the AC adapter is securely plugged in. If using backup batteries, check if they are fresh and correctly inserted.
