1. Product Overview

The NuPrime Omnia WR-1 is a versatile streaming bridge designed to deliver high-quality audio through its analog outputs. It achieves exceptional sound quality thanks to its powerful output amplifier and built-in ESS Sabre DAC. With adjustable volume control (which can be disabled), it is also suitable for direct connection to active speakers.

It provides access via WiFi, LAN, Airplay, and Bluetooth aptX HD, as well as analog and digital inputs (24/192 HD). Furthermore, it can stream from various music services such as Qobuz, Spotify, Tidal, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, Napster, QQ Music, and others, along with local USB drives and network storage (NAS).

2. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your NuPrime Omnia WR-1:

1. Unpack the Device: Carefully remove the Omnia WR-1 and all accessories from its packaging.
2. Connect Antennas: Screw the provided Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antennas onto their respective connectors at the rear of the device. Ensure they are securely tightened.
3. Power Connection: Connect the supplied 5V power adapter to the "POWER 5V IN" port on the rear panel and then plug it into a wall outlet.
4. Network Connection (Choose One):
   • Wired LAN: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the "LAN" port on the WR-1.
   • Wireless Wi-Fi: The device will attempt to connect to Wi-Fi. You will configure Wi-Fi settings using the Omnia Receiver app (see step 6).
5. Audio Output Connection: Connect the WR-1 to your audio system using one of the following methods:
   • Analog Output (Line Out): Use RCA cables to connect the "LINE OUT" (R/L) ports to an amplifier or active speakers.
   • Coaxial Digital Output (COAX OUT): Use a coaxial digital cable to connect to a DAC or amplifier with a coaxial input.
   • Optical Digital Output (OPT IN): Use an optical TOSLINK cable to connect to a DAC or amplifier with an optical input.
   • SPDIF Out (Micro USB): For specific digital audio connections, use the SPDIF Out port.
6. Download Omnia Receiver App: Download the "Omnia Receiver" app from the Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play Store (for Android) on your smartphone or tablet.
7. Initial Configuration via App: Open the Omnia Receiver app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your WR-1, configure Wi-Fi settings (if not using LAN), and perform any initial setup.

3. Operating Instructions

The NuPrime Omnia WR-1 is primarily controlled via the "Omnia Receiver" mobile application. Ensure your device is connected to the same network as the WR-1.

3.1. App Control

• Device Selection: Upon opening the app, it will scan for available WR-1 devices on your network. Select your device.
• Music Streaming:
  • Online Services: Access integrated streaming services like Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, Napster, and QQ Music directly from the app interface. Log in with your service credentials.
  • Local Media: Browse and play music from USB drives connected to the WR-1's USB port or from Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices on your network.
  • Airplay/Bluetooth: Select Airplay or Bluetooth as the source on your mobile device to stream audio directly to the WR-1.
• Volume Control: Adjust the output volume directly from the app. The WR-1 features an adjustable volume control that can be disabled if you prefer to control volume via your amplifier.
• Input Selection: Switch between different inputs (Analog, Coaxial, Optical, Bluetooth, Airplay, Network) using the app.
• DSP Settings: Utilize the built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to modify the sound character. This allows for subtle adjustments to make the sound warmer or colder, tailoring it to your listening preferences or speaker characteristics.

3.2. Multiroom Functionality

The Omnia WR-1 supports multiroom audio. If you have multiple WR-1 units, you can group them together via the app to play the same music synchronously across different rooms, or play different music on each unit.

• Grouping Devices: In the Omnia Receiver app, navigate to the multiroom section to create groups of WR-1 devices.
• Synchronized Playback: Once grouped, select a music source, and it will play simultaneously on all grouped devices.

4. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your NuPrime Omnia WR-1.

• Cleaning:
  • Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior surfaces of the device.
  • Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive chemicals, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
