Setup and Installation

1. Preparing the SD Card

The 32GB SD card is pre-inserted. For first-time use, it is recommended to format the SD card directly on the dash cam to ensure compatibility and optimal performance. Use a Class 10 high-speed micro SD card, not exceeding 32GB.

To format the SD card:

  1. Power on the dash cam.
  2. Navigate to the settings menu.
  3. Select "Format" or "Format SD Card" option.
  4. Confirm the action. All data on the card will be erased.

2. Mounting the Front Dash Cam

The front dash cam uses a suction mount for easy installation on your windshield.

  1. Clean the area on your windshield where you intend to mount the camera. Ensure it is free from dust and grease.
  2. Attach the suction mount to the dash cam.
  3. Press the suction cup firmly against the windshield and flip the lever to secure it. Position the camera to ensure a clear view of the road ahead without obstructing your driving vision.

3. Installing the Rear Camera

The rear camera is waterproof and typically mounted on the rear windshield or near the license plate.

  1. Choose a suitable location for the rear camera that provides a clear view of the rear of your vehicle.
  2. Securely mount the rear camera using the provided adhesive or screws.
  3. Route the rear camera cable to the main front dash cam unit. Ensure the cable is tucked away neatly and does not interfere with vehicle operations.
  4. Connect the rear camera cable to the designated port on the main dash cam unit.

4. Power Connection

Connect the car charger to the dash cam and plug it into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. The dash cam will automatically power on and off with your vehicle's ignition.

Operating Instructions

Automatic Operation

The dash cam is designed for automatic operation:

  • Auto On/Off: The camera will automatically turn on and begin recording when your vehicle's engine starts, and turn off shortly after the engine is turned off.
  • Auto Record: Recording starts automatically when the device powers on.

Key Features

  • Loop Recording: This feature allows continuous recording. When the SD card is full, the oldest unlocked video files will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. Locked videos (triggered by G-Sensor) will not be overwritten.
  • G-Sensor (Emergency Lock): The built-in G-sensor detects sudden shakes or collisions. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten by loop recording. The sensitivity of the G-sensor can be adjusted in the settings (Low, Medium, High). It is recommended to set it to a low level to prevent excessive locked files.

  • Parking Monitor: When enabled, this feature allows the dash cam to automatically start recording if it detects a collision or vibration while the vehicle is parked. This function requires a continuous power supply, typically achieved with a hardwire kit (sold separately).

  • Motion Detection: If enabled, the camera will start recording when it detects movement in front of the lens. This is useful for monitoring when the vehicle is stationary.
  • Night Vision & WDR: The camera utilizes WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology and an f1.8 aperture to enhance image clarity, especially in low-light conditions, ensuring clear recordings day and night.

Maintenance

SD Card Management

To ensure optimal performance and prevent "SD Card Full" errors, it is recommended to format your SD card monthly. This clears all non-locked files and maintains the card's health.

If the G-sensor is set to a high level, it can easily lock files, leading to the Micro SD card becoming full. Adjusting the G-sensor to a low setting is recommended for most driving conditions.

General Care

  • Keep the camera lenses clean using a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.
  • Ensure all cables are securely connected and not pinched.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible Cause / Solution
"SD Card Full" message
  • Format the SD card on the dash cam.
  • Disable Parking Monitoring and Motion Detection functions if not needed during driving, as these can trigger locked videos.
  • Set G-sensor sensitivity to a lower level to reduce the number of locked files.
  • Format the SD card monthly.
"Insert C6 and above SD card" message
  • The SD card may not be compatible or is a false capacity card. Try a new, genuine Class 10 high-speed micro SD card (max 32GB).
Dash cam turns off unexpectedly
  • The built-in battery is for emergency lock only (lasts 15-20 mins). External power is required for continuous operation. Ensure the car charger is continuously plugged into the car cigarette lighter.
  • Check the power cable connection for looseness or damage.
Poor video quality at night
  • Ensure the windshield and camera lens are clean.
  • Verify that WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) is enabled in settings.
