Setup and Installation
The WINONLY Portable Door Lock requires no tools or permanent installation. Follow these steps to secure your door:
- Step 1: Insert the Claw
Open the door slightly. Locate the strike plate on the door frame where the door's bolt extends. Insert the metal claw of the portable lock into the strike plate hole. Ensure the claw is fully seated and stable.

- Step 2: Close the Door
Gently close the door, ensuring that the metal plate of the portable lock remains in place within the strike plate. The door should close completely.

- Step 3: Jam the Moving Rod Down
Take the red handle part of the lock. Align the moving rod on the red handle with the hole on the metal plate. Push the red handle downwards firmly until the rod is fully inserted and jammed into place. This secures the door.

To remove the lock, simply pull the red handle upwards to disengage the rod, then open the door and remove the metal claw from the strike plate. This process can be done quickly in seconds, even in the dark.
Operating Instructions
Once installed as per the "Setup and Installation" section, the WINONLY Portable Door Lock provides immediate additional security. No further operation is required beyond its initial setup.
- Ensure the door is fully closed and the primary lock (if any) is engaged before installing the portable lock.
- Verify that the red handle is firmly pushed down and the lock feels secure against the door.
- To exit, simply reverse the installation steps: pull the red handle up, open the door, and remove the metal piece.
