Thank you for choosing the XTAR X2 Smart Charger. This device is designed to safely and efficiently charge a wide range of rechargeable Li-ion and Ni-MH/Ni-Cd batteries. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure proper operation and to maximize the lifespan of your batteries and charger.

2. Safety Information
- Always use the charger in a dry, well-ventilated area.
- Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries. This can lead to explosion, rupture, or leakage, causing personal injury or property damage.
- Ensure correct battery polarity (+/-) when inserting batteries into the charger. Incorrect insertion can damage the charger and batteries.
- Avoid short-circuiting the charger terminals.
- Do not disassemble, modify, or attempt to repair the charger. Contact XTAR support for assistance.
- Keep the charger away from water, moisture, direct sunlight, and high temperatures.
- The charger is constructed from flame-retardant material and includes multiple protection features such as over-charge, over-discharge, over-heat, reverse polarity, and short-circuit protection.
- Temperature monitoring is integrated into the design for enhanced safety.
- Important Note: This charger cannot charge protected 20700/21700 batteries.

4. Product Features
- Fast Charging: Capable of fully charging a 18650 2500mAh battery in approximately 1.5 hours with a real 2A charge current.
- Dual Input Ports: Features both an AC input port for indoor use with the power cord and a Micro USB port for outdoor or travel use.
- Innovative LCD Screen: Displays real-time battery power percentage, voltage, charge current, and charged capacity, providing comprehensive battery status information.
- 0V Activation Function: Can revive over-discharged batteries, extending their usable life.

5. Setup
- Connect Power: Choose one of the following methods to power the charger:
- For indoor use, connect the AC power cable to the charger's AC input port and then to a wall outlet.
- For outdoor or travel use, connect the Micro USB cable to the charger's Micro USB input port and to a compatible USB power source (e.g., power bank, USB adapter).
- Power On: The charger's LCD screen will illuminate, indicating it is ready for use.
6. Operating Instructions
- Insert Batteries: Carefully insert one or two rechargeable batteries into the charging slots, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -). The charger will automatically detect the battery type and begin charging.
- Monitor Charging: The innovative LCD screen will display real-time charging information for each slot, including:
- Battery power percentage
- Battery voltage
- Charge current
- Battery charged capacity (mAh)
- Charging Completion: The charger will automatically stop charging when the batteries are fully charged. The LCD display will indicate full charge status.
- Remove Batteries: Once charging is complete, carefully remove the batteries from the slots.

7. Battery Compatibility
The XTAR X2 Smart Charger is compatible with a wide range of rechargeable batteries:
- 3.6V/3.7V Li-ion/IMR/INR/ICR Batteries:
14500, 14650, 16340, 17335, 17500, 17670, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650, 18700, 20700, 21700, 22650, 25500, 26650 - 1.2V Ni-MH/Ni-CD Batteries:
AAAA, AAA, AA, A, SC, C
Note: This charger is not compatible with protected 20700/21700 batteries.

8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the charger from power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the charger's surface. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
- Avoid Impact: Protect the charger from drops or heavy impacts, which can damage internal components.
9. Troubleshooting
- Charger Not Powering On:
Ensure the power cable (AC or Micro USB) is securely connected to both the charger and the power source. Try a different power outlet or USB power source. - Battery Not Charging / Error Display:
Check that the battery is inserted with correct polarity. Ensure the battery is a compatible rechargeable type (refer to Section 7). If the battery is severely over-discharged (0V), the charger's 0V Activation Function may attempt to revive it; allow some time for this process. If the issue persists, the battery may be faulty. - Slow Charging:
Ensure you are using a power source capable of delivering sufficient current (e.g., a 2A USB adapter for Micro USB input).
