Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your LED strip lights:
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface where you plan to install the LED strips is clean, dry, and smooth. Dust, dirt, or moisture can affect the adhesive's effectiveness.
- Measure and Cut (Optional): The LED strips can be cut to your desired length. Locate the designated cutting marks (usually indicated by a copper pad and a scissor icon) on the strip. Cut only along these marks to avoid damaging the circuit.
- Attach the Strip: Peel off the protective backing from the adhesive tape on the back of the LED strip. Carefully press the strip onto the prepared surface, applying firm and even pressure along its entire length.
- Connect the IR Control Box: Connect the end of the LED strip to the IR control box. Ensure the arrows on the connectors align correctly.
- Connect the Power Supply: Plug the power supply (12V adapter) into the IR control box.
- Power On: Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The lights should illuminate.
Operating Instructions
Your YORMICK LED Strip Lights are controlled by a 44-key infrared remote. Ensure the remote is pointed towards the IR receiver on the control box for optimal response.
Remote Control Functions:
- Power Button: Turn the lights ON or OFF.
- Brightness Control: Increase or decrease the light intensity.
- Color Selection: Choose from 20 static colors directly using the color buttons.
- DIY Keys (DIY1-DIY6): Press a DIY key, then use the RGB up/down arrows to mix your desired color. Press the same DIY key again to save it.
- Mode Selection: Select from 8 dynamic modes: Quick, Slow, Auto, Flash, Fade, Jump.
- Speed Control: Adjust the speed of dynamic modes (Quick/Slow buttons).
Maintenance and Safety
Waterproofing:
The LED strips have an IP65 waterproof rating, making them suitable for outdoor use and exposure to rain. However, please note that the power supply and IR control box are NOT waterproof and must be protected from moisture.
General Care:
- To clean the LED strips, gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure the power supply and control box are kept in a dry environment.
- The LED strips operate at a safe 12V, producing low heat, no radiation, and no flicker, making them safe to touch.
Troubleshooting
