Step-by-Step Guide:
- Prepare for Installation & Safety Check:
Before starting, ensure the power to the installation area is turned off at the circuit breaker. Use a known working voltmeter to confirm that the electricity is off at the wires you will be working with. This is a critical safety step.

- Prepare the Junction Box:
Locate the flexible metal conduit (if applicable) extending from the ceiling opening. Open the integrated junction box. Remove a knockout from the junction box using a flathead screwdriver or knockout punch. Unscrew the locknut from the conduit, insert the conduit into the junction box through the removed knockout, and secure it in place by tightening the locknut.

Figure 3: Close-up of the junction box and its IC-rated, joist-friendly design, highlighting the secure flush mounting with spring clips.
- Wire Connections:
Inside the junction box, connect the white (neutral) wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from your electrical supply using a wire nut. Similarly, connect the black (hot) wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from your electrical supply using another wire nut. Ensure all connections are secure by gently tugging on them.
- Close Junction Box & Select Color Temperature:
Carefully tuck all wires back into the junction box. Close the junction box cover securely. Before final placement, select your desired color temperature (e.g., 5000K Daylight) using the switch located on the junction box. This setting cannot be changed once the light is installed in the ceiling.
- Connect Light Fixture to Junction Box:
Connect the plug from the light fixture to the corresponding receptacle on the junction box. Ensure a secure and proper connection by pushing it firmly until it clicks and then tightening the locknut if present.
- Install Light Fixture:
Position the junction box inside the ceiling opening. Hold the light fixture and push its adjustable spring clips upwards to a 90-degree angle. Carefully insert the light fixture into the ceiling opening. The spring clips will automatically snap back into place, securely holding the fixture flush against the ceiling.
- Power On and Test:
Once everything is securely installed, turn the power back on at the circuit breaker. Test the light to ensure proper operation and illumination.
