Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your SONGMICS office chair. It is recommended to have a second person assist with some steps for easier assembly.

1. Attach Casters to Base: Insert each caster into the holes at the end of each leg of the five-star base until they click securely into place.

2. Insert Gas Lift into Base: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled five-star base. Ensure it is seated firmly.

3. Attach Seat Plate to Seat: Align the seat plate mechanism with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Secure it using the provided screws. Ensure the front of the seat plate faces the front of the seat.

4. Attach Armrests to Seat: Secure the armrests to the sides of the seat cushion using the designated screws. Do not overtighten initially.
5. Attach Backrest to Seat/Armrests: Align the backrest with the mounting points on the seat and/or armrests. Secure with the remaining screws. Once all screws are in place, tighten all screws firmly.

6. Place Assembled Seat onto Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat (with armrests and backrest attached) onto the gas lift cylinder. Press down firmly to ensure it is securely seated.

Operating Instructions

Your SONGMICS OBN22BK chair features several adjustment options to enhance your comfort and support.

1. Height Adjustment

To adjust the chair's height, locate the lever on the right side, underneath the seat. While seated, pull the lever upwards to raise the chair. To lower the chair, remain seated and pull the lever upwards. Release the lever at your desired height.

2. Tilt Mechanism and Tension Adjustment

The chair features a tilt mechanism that allows the seat and backrest to recline synchronously up to 15 degrees. To activate the tilt function, pull the same lever (on the right side, under the seat) outwards. Push the lever inwards to lock the chair in an upright position.

To adjust the tilt tension, rotate the round knob located underneath the front of the seat. Turn clockwise to increase tension (making it harder to recline) and counter-clockwise to decrease tension (making it easier to recline).

Maintenance

• Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the chair with a soft, damp cloth. For spot cleaning, use a mild soap solution and a clean cloth, then wipe dry. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Mesh Care: The breathable mesh backrest can be gently wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid scrubbing or using sharp objects that could damage the mesh.
• Caster Maintenance: Periodically check the casters for accumulated dust, hair, or debris. Clean them to ensure smooth movement.
• Screw Tightness: Over time, screws may loosen. Regularly check all assembly screws (every 3-6 months) and retighten them to ensure the chair remains stable and safe.
