1. Introduction
This manual provides instructions for the VINABTY RC-056 replacement remote control. This remote is designed to function as a direct replacement for original remote controls of various Coby TV and TV/DVD combo models. It requires no programming and is ready to use after battery installation.

2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The RC-056 remote control requires two AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the battery cover downwards or press the latch and lift to open.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

2.2 Initial Use
The VINABTY RC-056 remote control is designed for immediate use with compatible Coby TV and TV/DVD combo models. No programming or pairing is required. Simply install the batteries, point the remote towards your device, and begin operation.
3. Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the button layout and their functions. The remote features standard controls for TV and DVD playback.

3.1 General TV Functions
- POWER (●): Turns the TV on or off.
- TV/DVD: Switches between TV and DVD modes.
- VOL +/-: Adjusts the volume level.
- CH +/-: Changes the TV channel.
- MUTE: Silences or restores the audio.
- SOURCE: Selects input sources (e.g., HDMI, AV).
- MENU: Accesses the TV's main menu.
- EXIT: Exits the current menu or on-screen display.
- INFO: Displays information about the current program or input.
- SLEEP: Sets a timer for the TV to turn off automatically.
- Number Buttons (0-9): Directly enter channel numbers.

3.2 DVD Playback Functions
- OPEN/CLOSE: Opens or closes the DVD tray.
- PLAY/PAUSE (▶/▌▌): Starts or pauses DVD playback.
- STOP (■): Stops DVD playback.
- REWIND (◀◀) / FAST FORWARD (▶▶): Rewinds or fast forwards playback.
- PREVIOUS (◀|) / NEXT (|▶): Skips to the previous or next chapter/track.
- RETURN: Returns to the previous menu or screen.
- DVD SETUP: Accesses DVD player settings.
- SUBTITLE: Toggles subtitle display.
- DISC: Selects disc functions.
- ANGLE: Changes the viewing angle on compatible DVDs.
- ZOOM: Zooms in or out on the picture.
- TITLE: Accesses the DVD title menu.
- REPEAT: Repeats a chapter, title, or disc.
3.3 Additional Functions
- LIST: Displays a list of channels or files.
- PROGRAM: Accesses program settings.
- FAV: Accesses favorite channels.
- GUIDE: Displays the electronic program guide (if supported by TV).
- SOUND: Adjusts sound modes.
- MTS: Selects Multi-channel Television Sound options.
- CC: Activates or deactivates Closed Captions.
- GOTO: Jumps to a specific time or chapter on DVD.
- LIGHT: Activates backlight (if available).
4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Battery Care: If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage.
- Environment: Avoid exposing the remote control to direct sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, or extreme cold.
- Impact: Do not drop the remote control or subject it to strong impacts.
5. Troubleshooting
- Remote not responding:
- Ensure batteries are installed correctly with the correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace old or depleted batteries with new AAA batteries.
- Check for any obstructions between the remote control and the TV/DVD player's infrared sensor.
- Ensure you are within the effective operating range and pointing the remote directly at the device.
- Remote controls TV but not DVD, or vice versa:
- Press the TV/DVD button to switch between TV and DVD control modes.
