3. Setup

3.1 Charging Dock Placement

Place the charging dock against a wall in an open, uncluttered area. Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) of clear space on both sides and 2 meters (6 feet) in front of the dock for optimal navigation and docking.

  • Connect the power adapter to the charging dock and plug it into a wall outlet.

3.2 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge the robot. You can place the robot directly on the charging dock, ensuring the charging contacts align. The indicator lights on the robot will show charging status.

3.3 Installing Side Brushes

Attach the side brushes by pressing them onto the square posts on the bottom of the robot until they click into place. Ensure the L and R markings on the brushes match the corresponding markings on the robot.

3.4 App Connection (Optional but Recommended)

Download the "ZACO Home" app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your ZACO V5x to your home Wi-Fi network. This enables advanced features like scheduling, cleaning mode selection, and remote control.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting a Cleaning Cycle

You can start a cleaning cycle in several ways:

  • On the Robot: Press the "CLEAN" button on the top of the robot.
  • Remote Control: Press the "CLEAN" button on the remote control.
  • ZACO Home App: Use the app to initiate cleaning.

The robot will automatically return to its charging dock when the battery is low or when the cleaning cycle is complete.

4.2 Cleaning Modes

The ZACO V5x offers four unique cleaning modes:

  • Auto Cleaning: The robot cleans automatically, adjusting its path based on the environment.
  • Spot Cleaning: Focuses on a specific dirty area, cleaning in a spiral pattern.
  • Edge Cleaning: Cleans along walls and furniture edges.
  • Scheduled Cleaning: Set a specific time for the robot to start cleaning daily via the app or remote.

4.3 Mopping Function

To use the mopping function:

  1. Remove the dustbin and install the water tank.
  2. Fill the water tank with clean water. Do not use cleaning solutions that may clog the nozzles.
  3. Attach a clean microfiber mop cloth to the water tank.
  4. Start a cleaning cycle. The robot will automatically switch to mopping mode.

The ZACO V5x has three levels of water flow for mopping. Adjust this setting via the ZACO Home app.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your ZACO V5x.

5.1 Emptying the Dustbin

Empty the dustbin after each cleaning cycle or when full. Press the "PUSH" button on the top panel to release the dustbin.
