3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

The MF18 requires 4 AA batteries. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity as indicated inside the battery compartment.

3.2. Attaching to Camera and Lens

1. Attach the Control Unit: Slide the main control unit onto your camera's hot shoe mount. Secure it by turning the locking wheel until it is firmly in place.
2. Select and Attach Adapter Ring: Choose the appropriate anodized aluminum adapter ring (49mm, 52mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, or 77mm) that matches your lens filter size. Screw this adapter ring onto the front of your camera lens.
3. Mount the Ring Flash Head: Align the ring flash head with the attached adapter ring on your lens. Gently slide the ring flash head onto the adapter ring until it clicks securely into place.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off

Press the 'On/Off' button on the control unit to power the flash on or off. The display will illuminate when the unit is active.

4.2. Mode Selection

Use the 'Mode' button to cycle through available flash modes, including TTL (Through-The-Lens) for automatic exposure, and Manual for precise power control.

4.3. Power Adjustment

In Manual mode, use the control dial or arrow buttons to adjust the flash output power from 1/1 (full power) down to 1/1024. The Fine Macro technology allows for independent adjustment of the left and right flash tubes for creative lighting.
