Model: KCE-422i

1. Introduction

The YONGJIANGXIA KCE-422i cable provides a direct connection solution for integrating your Apple iPod or iPhone with compatible Alpine car stereo head units manufactured from 2006 onwards. This cable enables control of your Apple device directly from the head unit, allowing you to enjoy your music through your car's speakers while simultaneously charging the device.

This manual provides instructions for the proper installation and use of your KCE-422i cable.

2. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure your Alpine head unit is compatible with the KCE-422i adapter. Refer to your Alpine head unit's user manual for confirmation of "Aux. input option using a KCE-422I adapter."

  1. Power Off: Turn off your car's ignition and disconnect the car battery to prevent electrical damage during installation.
  2. Locate Alpine Head Unit Port: Identify the "D-shaped" 10-pin DIN port on the back of your compatible Alpine head unit. This port is typically labeled for auxiliary input or iPod connection.
  3. Connect DIN Plug: Carefully insert the 10-pin DIN plug of the KCE-422i cable into the corresponding port on the Alpine head unit. Ensure a secure and firm connection.
  4. Route Cable: Route the cable to a convenient location within your vehicle where your iPod or iPhone will be placed. Avoid routing the cable near moving parts or heat sources.
  5. Connect iPod/iPhone: Plug the iPod/iPhone dock connector end of the KCE-422i cable into your Apple device.
  6. Reconnect Power: Reconnect your car battery and turn on the ignition.
