Troubleshooting
- Device Not Responding in App:
- Ensure the switch battery is not depleted (rated for 2+ years).
- Verify your smartphone's Bluetooth is enabled and within range of the switch.
- Check your home Wi-Fi connection if using remote or voice control features.
- Sometimes, pressing the side button on the switch for 5 seconds can "wake it up" for discovery.
- Lights Flickering (for wired switches):
- If you are using a 3-wire (no neutral) wired switch, ensure the included bulb adapter is installed in the light fixture. This adapter helps prevent flickering with certain LED bulbs.
- App Setup Issues:
- If experiencing issues with the Cync app (e.g., finding devices, firmware updates), try restarting the app or your phone.
- For persistent issues, try setting up devices in a "NEW room" within the app and then moving them to the desired room.
- Voice Assistant Connectivity:
- Ensure your Cync account is correctly linked within the Alexa or Google Home app.
- If you add new lights, move lights, or add new rooms, you must ask Alexa or Google Assistant to "discover devices" again.
