Setup
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash all components (glass pitcher, filter, lid, and spigot) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Spigot Assembly: Ensure the spigot is correctly assembled with the silicone washers on both the inside and outside of the glass pitcher, secured by the steel nut on the inside. Tighten the nut slowly and carefully until the raised edge on the silicone washer is flat to ensure a leak-proof seal.
- Leak Test: After assembling the spigot, fill the pitcher halfway with water and let it sit for 30 minutes to confirm there are no leaks. If leaks occur, re-tighten the spigot nut gently.

Operating Instructions
Brewing Cold Brew Coffee or Iced Tea
- Add Grounds/Tea: Place the stainless steel fine mesh filter into the glass pitcher. Add your desired amount of coarse ground coffee or tea leaves into the filter. For coffee, a common ratio is 1 cup of coarse grounds per gallon of water, but adjust to your preference.
- Pour Water: Slowly pour cold or lukewarm water into the glass pitcher, ensuring the grounds or tea leaves are fully submerged. Do not fill past the neck of the pitcher to allow for expansion and easy removal of the filter.
- Steep: Secure the stainless steel lid onto the pitcher. Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and allow it to steep for 12 to 18 hours. Steeping time can be adjusted for desired strength.
- Remove Filter: After steeping, carefully remove the filter containing the used grounds or tea leaves. Discard the contents.
- Serve: Your cold brew concentrate or iced tea is now ready to serve. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Note: Do not place the glass pitcher in the freezer.

Dispensing Beverages
To dispense your beverage, ensure the lid is not overly tight. A slightly loose lid allows for proper airflow, preventing a vacuum that can slow or stop the flow from the spigot. Simply push the spigot handle down to pour and release to stop.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- Glass Pitcher: Wash the glass pitcher with warm soapy water. The wide opening allows for easy hand cleaning. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners that could scratch the glass.
- Stainless Steel Filter: After removing the filter, discard the used grounds or tea leaves. Rinse the filter under running water. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any fine particles or coffee oils from the mesh.
- Lid and Spigot: Wash the lid and spigot with warm soapy water. For the spigot, ensure water and soapy water run through the dispensing mechanism to clean thoroughly.
- Drying: Allow all components to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.

Troubleshooting
- Slow or No Flow from Spigot: Ensure the lid is not screwed on too tightly. A slightly loose lid allows air to enter the pitcher, preventing a vacuum and ensuring smooth liquid flow.
- Spigot Leaks: Check that the silicone washers are correctly positioned on both sides of the glass around the spigot opening and that the nut is tightened sufficiently. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the washers or glass. If leaks persist, disassemble and reassemble the spigot carefully.
- Grounds in Beverage: Ensure you are using coarse ground coffee. Fine grounds may pass through the mesh filter. If using coarse grounds and particles are still present, ensure the filter is properly seated and undamaged.
- Glass Breakage: The pitcher is made of thick, durable glass, but it is still glass. Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g., pouring very hot water into a cold pitcher) and impacts. Do not place in the freezer.
