Introduction

The Minelab PRO-FIND 20 is a waterproof pinpointer metal detector designed for precise target location. Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Unscrew the battery cap at the rear of the pinpointer.
2. Insert one 9V PP3 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Carefully screw the battery cap back on, ensuring the O-ring is properly seated to maintain the waterproof seal. Do not overtighten.

2. Holster Attachment

The included durable holster can be attached to any belt for easy access to your PRO-FIND 20.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

• To power on: Press and hold the power button until the device activates.
• To power off: Press and hold the power button until the device deactivates.

2. Calibration

Upon powering on, the PRO-FIND 20 will perform an automatic calibration. Ensure the pinpointer is held away from any metal objects during this process for accurate calibration.

3. Detection Indication (Audio & Vibration)

The PRO-FIND 20 provides both audio tones and vibrations to indicate the presence of metal. As the probe approaches a target, the audio tones will intensify and the vibration will increase, helping to pinpoint the exact location.

4. Lost Alarm

If the PRO-FIND 20 is left inactive for a period, a lost alarm will sound to help you locate it, especially useful in low light or tall grass.

5. DIF Technology

The Detector Interference Free (DIF) technology disengages the pinpointer coil's magnetic field when switched off, significantly reducing interference with an operating metal detector.

6. Waterproof Design

The PRO-FIND 20 is fully waterproof up to 5 ft (1.5 m), allowing for accurate detection of targets in shallow water environments.

Maintenance

• After each use, especially in wet or dirty conditions, wipe the pinpointer clean with a damp cloth.
• Regularly inspect the battery cap O-ring for any signs of wear or damage. Replace if necessary to maintain waterproofing.
• Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Troubleshooting

Device Not Powering On

• Ensure the 9V PP3 battery is correctly installed with proper polarity.
• Check if the battery has sufficient charge. Replace with a new battery if needed.
• Verify the battery cap is securely fastened.

Inconsistent Power On Cycle

• Ensure the pinpointer is held away from any metal objects during the power-on calibration sequence.
• If the issue persists, try replacing the battery.

No Detection or Weak Signal

• Ensure the battery has sufficient charge.
• Recalibrate the device by turning it off and on again away from metal.
