5. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Cantonape Power Inverter:
- Choose a Location: Select a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area for the inverter. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for airflow, especially near the cooling fans.
- Prepare the Battery: Ensure your 12V DC battery is fully charged and in good condition.
- Connect Battery Cables:
- Connect the red battery cable to the positive (+) terminal of the inverter.
- Connect the other end of the red cable to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V battery.
- Connect the black battery cable to the negative (-) terminal of the inverter.
- Connect the other end of the black cable to the negative (-) terminal of your 12V battery.
Important: Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent arcing and overheating. Incorrect polarity will damage the inverter and void the warranty.
- Remote Control Battery: Insert a 23A 12V battery (not included) into the wireless remote control.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your inverter:
- Cleaning: Keep the inverter clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Ventilation: Periodically check that the ventilation openings and cooling fans are not obstructed.
- Connections: Regularly inspect battery cable connections for tightness and corrosion. Clean any corrosion with a wire brush and baking soda solution.
- Storage: If storing the inverter for an extended period, disconnect it from the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Ensure the battery is fully charged before storage and recharged periodically.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your inverter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power output / Inverter not turning on | Loose battery connections Low battery voltage Inverter switch OFF Blown fuse | Check and tighten battery cables Recharge or replace battery Turn inverter switch ON Check and replace internal fuses (consult professional) |
| Overload protection activated | Connected appliance exceeds inverter's power rating | Reduce the load by disconnecting some appliances. Ensure total wattage is below 3000W. |
| Overheating protection activated | Poor ventilation Blocked cooling fans High ambient temperature | Ensure adequate airflow around the inverter. Clear any obstructions from fans. Allow inverter to cool down. |
| Low voltage alarm / shutdown | Battery voltage too low | Recharge the battery immediately. Disconnect the inverter to prevent deep discharge. |
| High voltage shutdown | Input voltage exceeds 15V DC | Check battery charging system. Ensure input voltage is within 12V DC range. |
