1. Introduction

This device is designed to convert 12V DC battery power into 220V/230V AC household power, enabling you to operate various electronic devices and appliances from your vehicle, RV, boat, or off-grid power system. This manual provides essential information for safe operation, installation, and maintenance of your inverter.

2. Safety Instructions

Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the inverter. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Electrical Safety: Do not open the inverter casing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the inverter. Do not block ventilation openings. Overheating can cause damage or fire.
  • Environment: Do not expose the inverter to rain, moisture, direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures. Operate in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area.
  • Connections: Always connect the inverter to a 12V DC battery system. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -). Incorrect connections can damage the inverter and battery.
  • Load Capacity: Do not exceed the inverter's continuous power rating (3000W) or peak power rating (6000W). Overloading will trigger protection mechanisms and may damage the unit.

5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Cantonape Power Inverter:

  1. Choose a Location: Select a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area for the inverter. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for airflow, especially near the cooling fans.
  2. Prepare the Battery: Ensure your 12V DC battery is fully charged and in good condition.
  3. Connect Battery Cables:
    • Connect the red battery cable to the positive (+) terminal of the inverter.
    • Connect the other end of the red cable to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V battery.
    • Connect the black battery cable to the negative (-) terminal of the inverter.
    • Connect the other end of the black cable to the negative (-) terminal of your 12V battery.

    Important: Ensure all connections are tight and secure to prevent arcing and overheating. Incorrect polarity will damage the inverter and void the warranty.

  4. Remote Control Battery: Insert a 23A 12V battery (not included) into the wireless remote control.

6. Operating Instructions

Once the inverter is properly connected to the battery:

  1. Power On: Press the ON/OFF switch on the front panel of the inverter to the 'ON' position. The LED displays will illuminate, showing the battery voltage and output AC voltage. Alternatively, use the 'A' button on the wireless remote control to turn the inverter ON.
  2. Connect Appliances: Plug your AC appliances into the 220V/230V AC outlets. For USB-powered devices, use the 5V/2.4A USB port.
  3. Monitor Displays: Observe the LED displays to monitor the battery voltage and the output AC voltage.
  4. Power Off: When finished, disconnect all appliances. Press the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position or use the 'B' button on the wireless remote control to turn the inverter OFF.

Note: The intelligent cooling fan will activate automatically when the internal temperature reaches approximately 45°C to prevent overheating.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your inverter:

  • Cleaning: Keep the inverter clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Ventilation: Periodically check that the ventilation openings and cooling fans are not obstructed.
  • Connections: Regularly inspect battery cable connections for tightness and corrosion. Clean any corrosion with a wire brush and baking soda solution.
  • Storage: If storing the inverter for an extended period, disconnect it from the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Ensure the battery is fully charged before storage and recharged periodically.

If you encounter issues with your inverter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
