Setup Instructions
1. Connection Guidelines
- HDMI Cables: Use HDMI 2.0 standard cables less than 3 meters (10 feet) in length for optimal performance, especially for 4K@60Hz signals.
- USB Cables: Connect the provided USB cables from your computers (PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4) to the corresponding USB 3.0 PC input ports (USB3.0-PC1, USB3.0-PC2, USB3.0-PC3, USB3.0-PC4) on the KVM switch.
- Keyboard & Mouse: Connect your USB keyboard to the USB1 port and your USB mouse to the USB2 port on the KVM switch. These ports are specifically designated for keyboard and mouse.
- Other USB Peripherals: For other USB devices (e.g., printer, scanner, USB drive), use the USB3 and USB4 ports on the front panel.
- Monitor: Connect your HDMI monitor to the HDMI OUT port on the KVM switch.
- Audio Output: If using external audio, connect your speakers or audio system to the SPDIF Optical or Stereo 2.1CH audio output ports.
- Microphone: Connect your microphone to the 3.5mm Microphone input port.
- IR Extension Cable: If using the IR remote, connect the IR Extension cable to the "IR Ext." port and place the IR receiver in a location with a clear line of sight to your remote control.
- Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 5V port on the KVM switch and plug it into a power outlet. Ensure the power adapter is securely threaded to prevent accidental disconnection.

2. Power-On Sequence
- Ensure all HDMI and USB cables are securely connected between your computers and the KVM switch.
- Connect the power adapter to the KVM switch. The switch will power on.
- Allow approximately 20 seconds for the USB switch to wake up and initialize.
- Power on your monitor and then your computers.
- The KVM switch will automatically display the latest active HDMI input source. The input priority is HDMI 1 > 2 > 3 > 4.
- For optimal performance, ensure your PCs are connected to the internet to automatically install any necessary drivers for the USB devices.

Operating Instructions
1. Switching Between Inputs
You can switch between the connected computers/HDMI sources using two methods:
- Front Panel Button: Press the "SELECT" button on the front panel of the KVM switch to cycle through the inputs (IN1, IN2, IN3, IN4). The LED indicators will show the currently active input.
- IR Remote Control: Use the provided IR remote control to directly select the desired input (buttons 1, 2, 3, 4). Ensure the IR receiver has a clear line of sight to the remote.

Figure 5: Using the IR Remote Control for input selection.
2. Audio Handling
The KVM switch features an audio extractor with SPDIF Optical 5.1CH and Stereo 2.1CH outputs. The behavior of these outputs depends on the audio format from the HDMI source:
- If the HDMI source plays 2.1CH audio, both SPDIF and Stereo audio outputs will work in sync.
- If the HDMI source plays 5.1CH audio, only the SPDIF output will work; the Stereo output will not.
- If the HDMI source plays 7.1CH audio, only the HDMI OUT 7.1CH will work; neither SPDIF nor Stereo outputs will function.
Note: To ensure proper audio output, set your HDMI source (computer, game console, etc.) to "Bitstream audio out" if available.

3. Important Notes
- The KVM switch does not support down-scaling a 4K source to a 1080P display.
- For PS5/Laptop/PC video format, please set to AUTO mode. The KVM Switch will copy the EDID of the TV or Monitor automatically.
- Ensure your HDMI source and display devices support each other without the KVM switch connected first, to rule out compatibility issues.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your KVM switch, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Video Output or Flickering Screen:
- Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected and are less than 3 meters (10 feet) in length, especially for 4K resolutions.
- Verify that your HDMI cables are HDMI 2.0 standard.
- Try pressing the SELECT button on the KVM switch for 5 seconds to reset the HDMI signal.
- Ensure your monitor is powered on before the KVM switch.
- Test the HDMI source directly with the monitor (without the KVM switch) to confirm the source and display are compatible.
- Keyboard or Mouse Not Responding:
- Ensure the mouse is connected to the USB1 port and the keyboard to the USB2 port.
- Allow approximately 20 seconds after connecting the USB cable for the USB switch to wake up.
- Verify that the USB cables from your computers to the KVM switch are properly connected.
- Some mechanical gaming keyboards or specialized mice may not be fully compatible with the dedicated keyboard/mouse ports (USB1/USB2). Try connecting them to USB3 or USB4 ports if available, though this may affect hotkey functionality (if applicable, though this model states no hotkey).
- If experiencing delays in USB recognition after switching, this is normal for USB KVMs (typically 3+ seconds).
- No Audio Output:
- Check the audio settings on your source device (PC, console) and ensure HDMI audio output is selected.
- Verify the audio format (2.1CH, 5.1CH, 7.1CH) from your source and refer to the "Audio Handling" section for expected output behavior.
- Ensure external speakers/audio systems are correctly connected to the SPDIF or Stereo output ports.
- IR Remote Not Working:
- Ensure the IR Extension cable is securely connected to the "IR Ext." port.
- Verify that the IR receiver head has a clear line of sight to the remote control.
- Check the battery in the IR remote control.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your KVM switch, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays.
- Ventilation: Ensure the KVM switch is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not block the ventilation holes.
- Power: Always use the provided power adapter. Disconnect power during electrical storms or when unused for long periods.
- Cable Management: Keep cables organized and avoid excessive bending or tension, especially at connection points.
