Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Atolla USB 3.0 Powered Hub:

1. Connect the Power Adapter: Insert the DC 12V power adapter into the power input port on the back of the hub. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet. This ensures stable power for all connected devices, especially high-power USB devices.
2. Connect to Computer: Connect the USB 3.0 cable from the hub to an available USB 3.0 port on your computer. The hub is plug-and-play and should be automatically recognized by your operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux) without needing additional drivers.
3. Verify Connection: Once connected, the indicator lights on the hub will illuminate, indicating it is ready for use.

The Atolla USB 3.0 Powered Hub is designed for ease of use. Here’s how to operate its various functions:

Using USB 3.0 Data Ports (Blue Indicators)

The 7 blue-indicated ports are USB 3.0 Type-A ports, offering SuperSpeed data transfer up to 5Gbps. Connect your USB devices such as external hard drives, flash drives, keyboards, mice, or other peripherals to these ports.

Using Smart Quick Charge Ports (Red Indicators)

The 4 red-indicated ports are dedicated Smart Quick Charge ports. These ports are designed to charge your devices faster, delivering up to 2.4A current, compliant with BC-1.2 battery charging specifications. Use these for charging smartphones, tablets, and other compatible devices.

Individual Power Switches

Each of the 7 USB 3.0 data ports has an independent power switch. This allows you to turn individual ports on or off without disconnecting the device or affecting other connected devices.

• To Turn On: Briefly press the button next to the desired port. The indicator light will turn on (blue for data, red for charging).
• To Turn Off: Press and hold the button next to the desired port for approximately 2 seconds. The indicator light will turn off.

Note: The 4 horizontal quick charge ports do not have individual switches.

Maintenance

• Storage: When not in use, store the hub in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handling: Avoid dropping the hub or subjecting it to strong impacts. Do not attempt to disassemble the device, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.

• Device Not Recognized:
  • Ensure the hub is properly connected to your computer and the power adapter is plugged in.
  • Check if the individual port switch for the connected device is turned on.
  • Try connecting the device directly to your computer's USB port to confirm the device itself is functioning.
  • Restart your computer.
• Slow Data Transfer Speed:
  • Ensure you are using a USB 3.0 cable and connecting to a USB 3.0 port on both the hub and your computer. USB 2.0 connections will result in slower speeds.
  • Verify that the connected device supports USB 3.0 speeds.
  • Disconnect other high-bandwidth devices from the hub to see if it improves performance.
• Slow Charging or No Charging:
  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and providing power to the hub.
  • Use the red-indicated Smart Quick Charge ports for faster charging.
  • Check the charging cable and the device's charging port for any damage.
  • Some devices may require specific charging protocols not fully supported by the hub.
• Indicator Lights Not On:
  • Check the power adapter connection to the hub and the wall outlet.
  • Ensure the individual port switch is pressed to turn on the port.
• Overcurrent/Overheating Protection:
