Setup

The BOMAZ Replacement Remote Control is designed for immediate use with compatible Hitachi Projectors without any programming required.

Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or in the direction indicated by an arrow to open it.
  3. Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Operating Instructions

This remote control provides full functionality for compatible Hitachi Projectors. Ensure the remote is pointed towards the projector's IR receiver for optimal performance.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your remote control.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the remote control. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive materials, as these may damage the remote.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or stops working. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new AA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • Storage: If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and potential damage to the remote. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid Exposure: Keep the remote control away from direct sunlight, heat sources, moisture, and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your remote control, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Projector Compatibility: Verify that the specific function is supported by your Hitachi projector model.
  • Battery Level: Low batteries can sometimes cause intermittent button functionality. Replace batteries.

  • Low Batteries: Replace batteries.
  • Interference: Ensure no strong light sources (like direct sunlight or fluorescent lights) are interfering with the IR signal.
