5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Loading Dishes
Load dishes into the racks, ensuring they do not obstruct the spray arms or the detergent dispenser. The upper rack is adjustable to accommodate taller items. Note that the spacing of the racks may make it challenging to fit very large items like baking sheets. Avoid placing anything large on the left bottom side of the dishwasher, as this can prevent the soap dispenser from opening.
5.2 Adding Detergent and Rinse Aid
Fill the automatic detergent dispenser with an appropriate amount of dishwasher detergent. For optimal cleaning and drying, use a quality liquid detergent. Ensure the soap dispenser is dry before adding detergent for each cycle. Fill the rinse aid dispenser as needed; the warning indicator will alert you when it's low.
5.3 Selecting a Wash Program
Select the desired wash program using the control panel. For best cleaning results, especially with heavily soiled dishes, consider using longer wash programs (e.g., 2.5 hours).
5.4 Starting the Dishwasher
Close the dishwasher door firmly. Press the Start button to begin the cycle. If using the Time Delay feature, set the desired delay before starting.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Soap Dispenser
Regularly dry the soap dispenser prior to each use to ensure proper release of soap during the wash cycle.
6.2 Draining the Water Hose
After disconnecting the water hose from the faucet, use a cup or bowl to empty any remaining water from the hose. Wiggle the hose gently to remove as much water as possible without disconnecting it from the machine.
6.3 General Cleaning
Wipe down the exterior of the dishwasher with a soft, damp cloth. Clean the interior periodically to prevent food buildup and odors.
7. Troubleshooting
- Water Leaks: If water leaks from connections, ensure all hoses are screwed in tightly and that necessary washers are in place. Check connections at the base of the machine before each use, especially if the dishwasher is frequently moved.
- Dishes Not Drying Well: The type and quality of detergent significantly impact drying performance. Use a high-quality detergent. Plastic containers may not dry completely, which is normal for this appliance type.
- Detergent Not Dissolving: Ensure the soap dispenser is not obstructed by dishes. Using liquid detergent may resolve issues with pods or powder tablets not fully dissolving.
- Error Alarm: The unit displays fault codes. Refer to the specific error code in the full manual for detailed solutions.
