Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your coffee machine.
Daily Cleaning:
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Remove the filter holder and discard the used coffee grounds and paper filter. Wash the filter holder and the thermal carafe (including its lid) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.

Figure 9: Cleaning the removable filter holder.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
Descaling:
Mineral deposits from water can build up in your coffee machine over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descale your machine regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 1-3 months).
- Use a commercially available descaling solution suitable for coffee machines, or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio).
- Fill the water tank with the descaling solution up to the MAX mark.
- Place an empty filter in the filter holder and the thermal carafe on the base.
- Start a brewing cycle. Allow about half of the solution to brew through, then turn off the machine and let it sit for 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to work.
- Turn the machine back on and let the remaining solution brew through.
- After the descaling cycle, run at least two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse out any descaling residue.
