1. Product Overview

The Eurotime Youth Alarm Clock, model 27148-03, is designed with a durable plastic casing and a plastic crystal for enhanced safety. It features a high-quality, silent quartz movement, ensuring no disruptive ticking sounds. The alarm clock includes a crescendo alarm function, which starts softly and gradually increases in volume. It also comes with a green light illumination and a snooze function, both activated by pressing the light/snooze button.

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm clock.
2. Remove the cover by sliding or lifting it.
3. Insert one 1.5V AA alkaline battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Rechargeable batteries are not suitable for this model.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Setting the Time

Rotate the time setting knob, typically located on the back of the clock, in either direction until the hour and minute hands display the correct time.

3.2 Setting the Alarm

Rotate the alarm setting knob, also on the back, until the alarm hand points to your desired alarm time. Ensure the alarm is activated using the ON/OFF switch on the side of the clock.

3.3 Using the Alarm and Snooze Function

• The alarm features a crescendo function, starting quietly and gradually increasing in volume to gently wake you.
• To activate the green light illumination, press the large button located on the top of the clock.
• To activate the snooze function, press the same light/snooze button on the top of the clock when the alarm sounds. The alarm will pause and sound again after approximately 5 minutes.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the alarm clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the plastic casing or crystal.

4.2 Battery Replacement

If the second hand stops moving or the alarm suddenly ceases to function, it is an indication that the battery needs to be replaced. Refer to section 2.1 for battery installation instructions.

5. Troubleshooting

• Alarm Not Sounding / Clock Not Functioning: Approximately 90% of all functional errors can be resolved by using the correct battery. There are significant quality fluctuations among different battery manufacturers and brands. Please ensure you use a fresh, full alkaline battery for this product. Rechargeable batteries are not suitable for this model.
• Alarm Repetition Issue: The alarm repetition time is approximately one hour. Within this hour, it is not technically possible to adjust the alarm without it triggering. For example, if the alarm is set for 7:00 AM but you initially set it at 7:00 PM, it will not function correctly for the morning alarm because an analog alarm clock does not differentiate between AM and PM. This behavior is typical for any analog alarm clock with a snooze function. If the alarm is first set at, for example, 9:00 PM and is intended to sound at 7:00 AM, it will function correctly as it is outside the one-hour alarm repetition window.
