5. Setup and Battery Installation

Battery Installation/Replacement:

The thermometer comes with one unknown battery type included and installed. If the display shows a low battery indicator or does not turn on, replace the battery:

  4. Gently insert the flexible tip into the rectum, approximately 1/2 to 1 inch (1.5 inches maximum immersion depth), until the parent-proof stopper prevents further insertion. Do not force the thermometer.
  5. Hold the thermometer in place until it beeps, indicating the reading is complete (approximately 10 seconds).
  6. Carefully remove the thermometer and read the temperature displayed on the screen.
  7. Press the power button to turn off the thermometer, or it will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

Memory Function:

The thermometer automatically stores the last 10 temperature readings. To recall previous readings:

  • With the thermometer off, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until 'MEM' appears on the display, followed by the last reading.
  • Each subsequent short press of the power button will cycle through the previous readings.

Fahrenheit/Celsius Switching:

To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C):

  • With the thermometer off, press and hold the power button for approximately 5 seconds until the unit changes. Release the button.
