2. Setup
2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Powering On and Charging
The EMF-280 is powered by a rechargeable battery. To charge the device:
- Connect the provided USB cable to the charging port on the meter.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
- The battery strength indicator will be displayed on the screen during charging.
The meter features an automatic shutdown function. If there is no operation for 5 minutes, the device will automatically power off to conserve battery life.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Basic Measurement
To begin measuring electromagnetic fields:
- Press the power button (LED) to turn on the device.
- The meter will automatically enter dual-mode measurement, displaying both electric field (E-field) and magnetic field (H-field) readings simultaneously.

3.2 Interpreting Readings

3.3 Alarm Function
The EMF-280 features an automatic sound and light alarm. When the measured electric or magnetic field values exceed the preset safe thresholds, the device will emit an audible alarm and the screen will change color (typically to red) to indicate a potentially harmful level.

The meter also measures ambient temperature, which can be displayed in Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F). Press the °C/°F button to switch between temperature units.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
To clean the device, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the casing or display. Ensure the device is powered off before cleaning.
4.2 Storage
Store the EMF-280 in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity. When storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan. Avoid storing near strong magnetic fields.
