Setup Instructions
Proper setup is crucial for the performance and safety of your Intex PureSpa Plus. Follow these steps carefully.
1. Site Selection and Preparation
Choose a flat, level surface free of sharp objects. Ensure the area can support the weight of the filled spa (approximately 290 gallons of water plus occupants). A ground cloth is recommended to protect the spa bottom.
2. Inflation
Unfold the spa liner and place it on the prepared ground cloth. Connect the inflation hose to the spa's air valve and the pump's inflation port. Inflate the spa until it is firm to the touch but not over-inflated. Do not use an air compressor for inflation.

3. Control Unit Connection
Connect the control unit to the spa liner following the instructions in the manual. Ensure all connections are secure. Plug the control unit into a grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords.
4. Water Filling
Fill the spa with fresh water using a garden hose. Fill to the recommended water level indicated on the spa liner. Do not overfill.
5. Filter Cartridge Installation
Install the filter cartridges into the filter housing inside the spa. Ensure they are properly seated and secured.
Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the control panel to operate your spa effectively.
1. Power On/Off
Press the power button on the control panel to turn the spa on or off.
2. Heating System
Press the heater button to activate the heating system. Use the temperature adjustment buttons to set your desired water temperature (68-104°F / 20-40°C). The heater will automatically turn off once the set temperature is reached and restart if the temperature drops.
3. Bubble Jets
Activate the 170 high-powered bubble jets by pressing the bubble button. The bubble function provides a relaxing massage. Note that running the bubble jets may slightly decrease water temperature.
4. LED Light Operation
The spa includes a multi-colored LED light. Refer to the control panel for specific buttons to cycle through colors or set a preferred lighting mode.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your spa.
1. Filter Cartridge Cleaning and Replacement
Check and clean the filter cartridges regularly, ideally after each use or every few days depending on usage. Rinse them with a garden hose. Replace cartridges every 2-4 weeks or when they remain dirty after cleaning.
2. Water Treatment
The spa is equipped with a built-in hard water treatment system. However, regular water chemistry maintenance is essential. Test the water pH and sanitizer levels (e.g., chlorine) frequently and adjust as needed using appropriate spa chemicals. Maintain pH between 7.4 and 7.6.
3. Draining and Storage
When not in use for extended periods or for seasonal storage, drain the spa completely. Clean and dry the spa thoroughly before deflating and storing it in a cool, dry place. Use the included carry bag for easy transport and storage.
