Setup and Installation

Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Upon unboxing, inspect the case for any damage. The Meshify 2 comes with an accessories box containing drive trays, a user guide, and various screws necessary for component installation. The side panels, including the tempered glass panel, are designed for easy removal, facilitating access to the interior.

Front Panel I/O

The top-front panel features essential input/output ports for convenient access. These include headphone and microphone jacks, a USB-C port, a power button, a reset button, and two USB 3.0 ports. Ensure all front panel cables are correctly connected to your motherboard during setup.

Power Supply Installation

The power supply is installed at the rear bottom of the case using a removable bracket. Secure the power supply to this bracket outside the case, then slide the assembly into the designated compartment and fasten it with screws.

Motherboard and GPU Installation

The Meshify 2 supports motherboards up to Extended ATX (E-ATX) and graphics cards up to 467mm in length. The case offers a modular internal layout, allowing for adjustments to accommodate various component sizes. Vertical GPU mounting is possible but requires a separately purchased riser cable.

Operating the Case

Fan Control and Cable Management

The case includes a Nexus+ 2 Slim fan controller, supporting three PWM fans and six 3-pin fans. This controller is strategically placed at the top-rear of the motherboard tray to facilitate clean cable routing. Cable management straps are also provided to help organize internal wiring.

Storage Drive Installation

The Meshify 2 offers versatile storage options. It includes two removable SSD mounts on the backside of the motherboard tray and a universal multi-bracket that can accommodate 3.5-inch hard drives or pump mounts. The case supports up to 11 HDDs and 4 SSDs with included brackets, and additional trays can be purchased for further expansion.

Maintenance

Cleaning Dust Filters

To maintain optimal airflow and prevent dust buildup, regularly clean the dust filters located at the bottom, front, and top of the case. The bottom filter is easily removable by sliding it out from the front. The front mesh panel is hinged and can be opened to access its removable nylon filter. The top panel can also be detached to clean the filter and access the cooling bracket underneath.

Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure all power connections are secure, including the power supply unit (PSU), the 24-pin ATX connector to the motherboard, and the 8-pin CPU power connector. Verify that the power button cable is correctly attached to the motherboard's front panel headers.
  • Overheating: Check that all case fans are properly connected and oriented for optimal airflow. Clean all dust filters regularly. Ensure no cables are obstructing airflow paths within the case.
  • USB/Audio Ports Not Working: Confirm that the front panel I/O cables (USB 3.0, USB-C, HD Audio) are securely connected to the corresponding headers on your motherboard.
