Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the scales from their packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Battery Installation: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scales. Insert 3 x AAA batteries (included) according to the polarity indicators. Close the battery compartment securely.
- Placement: Place the scales on a flat, stable, and level surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing near strong electromagnetic fields or vibrating surfaces.

Operating Instructions
- Power On/Off: Press the Power button (⑂) to turn the scales on. Press and hold the Power button to turn them off.
- Dual Platforms: The scales feature two independent weighing platforms:
- Large Platform (1): For heavier ingredients like flour or water (up to 10 kg / 22 lbs).
- Small Platform (2): For precise measurements of lighter ingredients such as yeast, salt, or herbs (up to 200 g / 7 oz), measuring to a tenth of a gram. A custom-fit measuring dish is included for the small platform.
- Tare Function: To zero out the weight of a container or previous ingredient:
- Place the empty container on the desired platform.
- Press the corresponding Tare button (⑂1 for large, ⑂2 for small). The display will reset to zero.
- Add your ingredients to the container. The display will show only the weight of the added ingredients.
- Unit Conversion: Press the Unit button to cycle through available measurement units: grams (g), ounces (oz), milliliters (ml), and fluid ounces (fl oz).

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the scales with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not immerse the scales in water or use abrasive cleaners. The stainless steel platforms can be wiped clean separately.
- Storage: Store the scales in a dry place away from extreme temperatures. The small measuring dish can be placed over the small platform for protection during storage.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure proper disposal of old batteries.
Troubleshooting
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the scales are on a flat, stable surface. Avoid placing them near electronic devices that may cause interference. Recalibrate by turning off and on, then taring both platforms.
- Display Issues: If the display is broken or permanently shifting, check battery connections. If the issue persists, contact Ooni customer support.
- Scale Not Turning On: Check if batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
