3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Alvoxcon Wireless Microphone System:

  1. Charge the Units: Before first use, fully charge both the transmitter and receiver units using the provided USB charging cable. The charging indicator will show when charging is complete.
  2. Connect the Microphone: Plug either the headset microphone or the lavalier microphone into the 'Mic Input' port on the transmitter unit. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Power On: Press and hold the power button on both the transmitter and receiver units until their displays or indicator lights turn on. The units should automatically pair.
  4. Connect the Receiver to Your Device:
    • For DSLR Camera: Use the included 1/8" TRRS combo cable to connect the receiver to your DSLR camera's microphone input. The receiver can be mounted on the camera's hot shoe.
    • For Smartphone (iPhone/iPad): Use the included 1/8" TRRS combo cable to connect the receiver to your iPhone or iPad. An additional Lightning to 3.5mm adapter (not included) may be required for newer iPhone models.
    • For PA Speaker/Mixer: Use the 1/4" plug on the receiver to directly connect to a PA speaker or mixer with a 1/4" MIC IN jack.

4. Operating Instructions

Once set up, operating your Alvoxcon Wireless Microphone System is straightforward:

  1. Wearing the Microphone:
    • Lavalier Microphone: Clip the lavalier microphone to your shirt collar, approximately 6-8 inches from your mouth, for optimal sound capture. The transmitter unit can be clipped to your belt or pocket.
    • Headset Microphone: Position the headset microphone comfortably on your head, with the microphone element near the corner of your mouth. The transmitter unit can be clipped to your belt or pocket.
  2. Adjusting Volume and Channel: Use the buttons on the transmitter unit to select the desired frequency and volume level. This allows you to optimize performance and avoid interference.
  3. Monitoring Audio: If your recording device or PA system has a monitoring output, connect headphones to monitor the audio quality during use.
  4. Power Off: When finished, press and hold the power button on both the transmitter and receiver units to turn them off and conserve battery life.
