After each use, or when storing the steamer for an extended period:
- Unplug the steamer and allow it to cool completely.
- Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
- Rinse the tank with clean water.
- Wipe the exterior of the tank with a soft, damp cloth.

- Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and distilled water.
- Fill the water tank with this solution.
- Plug in the steamer and allow it to heat up.
- Run the steamer until half of the solution has been used, directing steam into a sink or basin.
- Unplug and let it cool. Empty the remaining solution.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly and refill with clean distilled water. Run the steamer again to flush out any remaining vinegar.
