2. Setup

Follow these steps to correctly set up your Genius SP-HF160 speakers:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have both speaker units and the integrated cables.
  2. Placement: Position the two speaker units on a stable, flat surface, such as a desk or shelf. For optimal stereo sound, place them equidistant from your listening position and spaced appropriately apart.
  3. Connect Audio Cable: Locate the 3.5mm audio jack cable extending from one of the speakers. Plug this cable into the audio output port (usually green) on your computer, laptop, or other audio source.
  4. Connect USB Power: Locate the USB-A cable extending from the same speaker. Plug this USB cable into an available USB port on your computer or a compatible USB power adapter (not included). This connection provides power to the speakers.
  5. Power On: Once both cables are connected, the speakers should power on automatically. A small LED indicator on the back of the main speaker may illuminate.

  • Dust Removal: Gently brush away any dust from the speaker grilles using a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment on a low setting.
  • Avoid Moisture: Keep the speakers away from water, high humidity, and direct exposure to rain.
  • Temperature: Operate and store the speakers in a moderate temperature environment. Avoid extreme heat or cold.
  • Cable Care: Do not pull on the cables forcefully. Always grasp the plug when disconnecting.
