5. Setup
5.1 Site Preparation
Before installation, ensure your lawn area is clear of large debris, stones, or objects that could obstruct the mower or damage its blades. The lawn should be relatively level for optimal performance.
5.2 Boundary Wire Installation
The boundary wire defines the mowing area for your robotic lawnmower.
- Lay the 100m boundary cable around the perimeter of your desired mowing area.
- Use the provided pegs (130 pcs) to secure the wire to the ground. Ensure the wire is taut and flat against the ground.
- Maintain a distance of approximately 25 cm from raised edges, walls, or obstacles to prevent the mower from striking them.
- For narrow passages, ensure a minimum distance of 1 meter between parallel sections of the boundary wire to allow the mower to navigate effectively.

5.3 Charging Station Placement
Place the charging station on a flat, level surface within the mowing area, preferably in a shaded spot. Connect the power supply to the charging station and plug it into a suitable outdoor power outlet.
5.4 Initial Charging
Place the robotic lawnmower onto the charging station. Ensure the charging contacts align. The mower will begin charging automatically. Allow the mower to fully charge before its first operation.
6. Operating the Robotic Lawnmower
6.1 Control Panel and PIN Protection
The LX799 features an ergonomic LED display for easy control. The device is PIN-protected to prevent unauthorized use. The default PIN is typically 0000. You will need to enter this PIN by pressing the ENTER button four times after powering on the device.
6.2 Setting Up Mowing Schedule
You can program the LX799 to mow at specific times. To set a start time, you must press the corresponding button combination on the control panel at the exact time you wish the mowing cycle to begin. The mower offers various schedule options, such as daily operation (excluding weekends), three times a week (Mon, Wed, Fri), or two times a week (Tue, Fri), depending on your lawn size and preference.
6.3 Adjusting Cutting Height
The cutting height can be adjusted from 20 mm to 50 mm using the knob on the top of the mower (refer to Figure 2). Rotate the knob to your desired cutting height setting.
6.4 Starting and Stopping
To start a mowing cycle, ensure the mower is within its boundary and press the appropriate start button. To stop the mower at any time, press the large red STOP button. The mower will cease operation immediately.
6.5 Automatic Return to Charging Station
The robotic lawnmower is designed to automatically return to its charging station when its battery is low or when the programmed mowing cycle is complete.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the mower's body, wheels, and especially the cutting deck to prevent grass clippings from accumulating. Use a soft brush or cloth. Do not use high-pressure water.
7.2 Blade Replacement
The LX799 uses an efficient 3-blade mulching system. For optimal cutting performance, inspect and replace the blades regularly. Use the provided hex key to loosen the screws and replace the blades. Always replace all three blades at the same time for balanced cutting.
7.3 Battery Care and Winter Storage
For prolonged battery life, especially during the off-season, fully charge the battery before storing the mower. It is recommended to remove the battery during winter storage. Store the mower and charging station in a dry, protected area away from extreme temperatures.
8. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Error E1: Mower outside boundary | Mower has crossed the boundary wire or cannot detect it. | Place the mower precisely on the boundary wire (moving counter-clockwise along the wire) and initiate the "Home" sequence. Check for breaks in the boundary wire. |
| Error E3: Impeded blade wheel | Debris or obstruction around the cutting blade. | Turn off the mower, disconnect power, and carefully remove any debris or obstructions from the blade area. |
| Mower gets stuck frequently | Uneven terrain, loose ground, wet grass, or obstacles. | Ensure the mowing area is clear of obstacles. Adjust boundary wire placement if the mower consistently gets stuck in certain spots. Avoid mowing in very wet conditions. |
| Mower operates in rain (no rain sensor) | The LX799 model does not feature a rain sensor. | Manually stop the mower and return it to its charging station or a sheltered area during rainfall. |
