6. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for safe and proper installation:
- Unpack: Carefully remove the string lights and all components from the packaging.
- Inspect: Before plugging in, inspect the entire string for any signs of damage to the cable, sockets, or bulbs. Do not proceed if damage is found.
- Plan Placement: Determine the desired location for your string lights. Ensure the power outlet is within reach of the plug and protected from direct water exposure if not rated for outdoor use.
- Mounting: Securely hang the string lights using appropriate outdoor-rated hooks, clips, or guide wires. Do not use the electrical cable itself to bear the weight of the lights. Ensure the lights are not twisted or tangled.
- Install Bulbs: Gently screw each LED filament bulb into its respective socket. Ensure bulbs are fully seated but do not overtighten.
- Connect to Power: Once the string lights are securely mounted and all bulbs are installed, plug the main power plug into a suitable 127V outdoor-rated electrical outlet.
- Daisy-Chaining (Optional): If connecting multiple sets, ensure the total wattage does not exceed the maximum recommended load for your circuit. The receptacle at the end of the string allows for connecting up to 50 series maximum.
