6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Securing Your Child
- Place your child in the car seat, ensuring their back is flat against the seat back.
- Bring the harness straps over your child's shoulders and between their legs.
- Connect the two buckle tongues into the crotch buckle until you hear a click.
- Slide the ClipQuik chest clip up to armpit level and ensure it is securely fastened.
- Tighten the harness straps until snug. There should be no slack when pinching the strap at the child's collarbone.

6.2. Adjusting Headrest and Harness
To adjust the headrest and harness height, locate the adjustment handle at the top of the headrest. Squeeze the handle and slide the headrest up or down to the desired position. Ensure the harness straps are at or just below the child's shoulders for rear-facing, and at or just above for forward-facing.
6.3. Converting to Booster Mode
When your child is ready for booster mode (40-120 lbs), the 5-point harness can be stored within the seat. The HideAway seat belt harness system makes this conversion simple. 7. Maintenance
7.1. Cleaning the Fabrics
The premium fabrics and padding are machine washable and dryer safe. Use the EZ Zipper to easily remove the seat pad for cleaning.
- Unzip and remove the seat pad.
- Machine wash with cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Do not use bleach.
- Reattach the seat pad, ensuring all zippers are securely closed.

7.2. Cleaning Cup Holders

Wipe the harness straps with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash or submerge harness straps in water, as this can weaken the webbing.

- Harness difficult to tighten/loosen: Ensure the harness straps are not twisted and are routed correctly through the seat. Check that no fabric is obstructing the tightening mechanism.
- Car seat feels loose after installation: Re-read the installation instructions carefully. Ensure the LATCH connectors or vehicle seat belt are pulled as tightly as possible. The car seat should not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Chest clip difficult to fasten/unfasten: Ensure both sides of the magnetic clip are aligned properly. If it's still difficult, check for any debris or damage.
- Headrest/Harness adjustment issues: Ensure the adjustment handle is fully squeezed during adjustment. Check for any obstructions behind the headrest.
