4. Setup and Initial Configuration
4.1 Initial Power-Up
- Plug the Bearware Digital Thermostat Plug into a standard wall outlet.
- The display will light up, and the device will be in standby mode or show default settings.
4.2 Setting the Time and Day
To ensure accurate scheduling, set the current time and day:

- Press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds until the clock symbol on the display starts blinking.
- Use the Up Arrow (▲) or Down Arrow (▼) buttons to adjust the minutes. Press OK to confirm.
- The hour display will start blinking. Use the Up Arrow (▲) or Down Arrow (▼) buttons to adjust the hours. Press OK to confirm.
- The day of the week will start blinking. Use the Up Arrow (▲) or Down Arrow (▼) buttons to select the current day. Press OK to confirm.
- The device will automatically exit the time setting menu after a few seconds, or you can briefly press the Power (⏻) button to exit.
5. Operating Modes
5.1 Heating and Cooling Mode Selection
The thermostat can operate in either heating or cooling mode. By default, the device is set to heating mode.
- Press and hold the Up Arrow (▲) button for approximately 3 seconds to enter the basic settings menu.
- Use the Up Arrow (▲) or Down Arrow (▼) buttons to toggle between the heating mode (indicated by a HEAT icon, typically a flame) and cooling mode (indicated by a COOL icon, typically a snowflake).
- After 5 seconds of inactivity, the setting will be saved, and the device will return to the main display.
- In Heating Mode, the connected appliance will turn on if the room temperature is below the set target temperature.
- In Cooling Mode, the connected appliance will turn on if the room temperature is above the set target temperature.
5.2 Manual Temperature Control
To set a specific target temperature manually:
- Briefly press the SET button until the manual mode icon (a hand with an index finger) appears on the display.
- Use the Up Arrow (▲) or Down Arrow (▼) buttons to adjust the desired target temperature.
- The connected heating or cooling appliance will switch on or off according to the selected mode and the newly set temperature.
- To exit manual mode, briefly press the SET button again.
5.3 Programmable Timer Mode (ON/OFF Times)
You can program specific ON and OFF times for your connected appliance:
- Press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds to enter the time setting menu.
- Press the SET button once briefly to activate the ON time setting. The 'ON' symbol will blink.
- Use the Up Arrow (▲) or Down Arrow (▼) buttons to set the desired ON hour, then press OK.
- Use the Up Arrow (▲) or Down Arrow (▼) buttons to set the desired ON minute, then press OK.
- Press the SET button twice briefly to activate the OFF time setting. The 'OFF' symbol will blink.
- Use the Up Arrow (▲) or Down Arrow (▼) buttons to set the desired OFF hour, then press OK.
- Use the Up Arrow (▲) or Down Arrow (▼) buttons to set the desired OFF minute, then press OK.
- The device will automatically save the settings and exit the menu after a few seconds.
5.4 Anti-frost Function
The thermostat includes an anti-frost function to protect your space from freezing temperatures. If the room temperature drops below 2°C, the device will automatically activate the connected heating appliance to raise the temperature above the freezing point, preventing damage from cold.

6.1 Cleaning
- Always unplug the device from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the thermostat with a soft, dry cloth.
