4. Setup

4.1 Main Unit Power Supply

The main unit operates via the included power adapter. For backup, or temporary display illumination, batteries can be used.

  1. Connect the power adapter to the main unit's DC input port.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. (Optional) Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit and insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included), observing polarity. This provides backup power and temporary display illumination when not connected to mains.

4.2 Outdoor Sensor Setup

  1. Open the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor.
  2. Set the desired channel (1, 2, or 3) using the switch inside the battery compartment. If using multiple sensors, ensure each sensor is set to a different channel.
  3. Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included), observing polarity.
  4. Close the battery compartment.
  5. Place the outdoor sensor in a location protected from direct sunlight and rain, ensuring good air circulation. The sensor is splash-proof (IPX4) but prolonged exposure to harsh weather should be avoided for optimal performance and longevity.

Note: For best results, place the outdoor sensor within 100 meters (328 feet) of the main unit in open terrain. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or electronic devices that may interfere with the wireless signal.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Synchronization

After powering on both the main unit and the outdoor sensor, the main unit will automatically search for the outdoor sensor signal and the radio-controlled time signal. This process may take a few minutes.

  • Ensure both units are within range of each unit.
  • The main unit will display outdoor temperature and humidity once synchronized.
  • The radio-controlled clock will automatically set the correct time and date.

5.2 Display Illumination

The display has three adjustable illumination levels. When operating on mains power, the display can be continuously illuminated. When operating on batteries, the display illumination is temporary to conserve power.

5.3 Setting Time and Date

The radio-controlled clock automatically sets the time. If manual adjustment is needed or if the radio signal is weak:

  1. Press and hold the "SET" button to enter time setting mode.
  2. Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the value.
  3. Press "SET" to confirm and move to the next setting (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day).

5.4 Alarm Function

The weather station includes an alarm clock with a snooze function.

  1. Press and hold the "ALARM" button to enter alarm time setting mode.
  2. Use the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to adjust the alarm hour and minute.
  3. Press "ALARM" to confirm.
  4. To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the "ALARM" button briefly in normal time display mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
  5. When the alarm sounds, press the "SNOOZE" button to activate the snooze function for 5 minutes.

5.5 Anti-freeze Alarm

The device features an anti-freeze alarm to warn of low outdoor temperatures.

  • When the outdoor temperature falls between 0°C and 2.9°C, a snowflake icon will flash on the display, indicating a potential frosting point.

5.6 USB Charging Ports

The two USB ports on the side of the main unit can be used to charge compatible devices. The maximum charging current is 2.1A.
