Setup and Initial Use

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the watch from its packaging. Inspect the watch for any visible damage. Ensure all protective films are removed from the crystal and case back.

2. Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to position 2 (the outermost position). The second hand will stop.
  2. Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands clockwise until the desired time is set. Ensure to account for AM/PM if setting the date.
  3. Push the crown back into position 0 (normal operating position). The second hand will resume movement.

3. Setting the Date

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1 (the middle position).
  2. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise (depending on the movement) until the correct date appears in the date window.
  3. Important: Do not set the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this may damage the movement. If the time is within this range, first set the time outside this range, then set the date, and finally reset the correct time.
  4. Push the crown back into position 0.

Operating Your Watch

Timekeeping

Once the time and date are set, your quartz watch will keep accurate time. The second hand will move in one-second intervals.

Using the Unidirectional Rotating Bezel

The bezel can be rotated counter-clockwise to mark elapsed time. Align the zero marker on the bezel with the minute hand at the start of an event. The minute hand will then point to the elapsed time on the bezel scale.

Water Resistance

This watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (10 ATM). This makes it suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for scuba diving. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water. Do not operate the crown while the watch is wet or submerged.

Maintenance and Care

Cleaning

Wipe the watch case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stainless steel, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry one. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Battery Replacement

Your quartz watch is powered by a battery. When the battery runs low, the second hand may start to jump in two-second intervals (End-of-Life indicator) or stop completely. Battery replacement should be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

Water Resistance Care

The gaskets that ensure water resistance can degrade over time. It is recommended to have the water resistance checked annually by an authorized service center, especially if the watch is frequently exposed to water.

Storage

When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep it away from strong magnetic fields, which can affect the accuracy of quartz movements.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch not running:
    • Check if the crown is fully pushed in.
    • The battery may need replacement. Consult a qualified technician.
  • Time is inaccurate:
    • Ensure the crown is fully pushed in.
    • Exposure to strong magnetic fields can affect accuracy.
    • Battery may be low.
  • Date not changing at midnight:
    • The watch may be set to PM instead of AM. Advance the time by 12 hours.
  • Condensation under the crystal:
    • This indicates a loss of water resistance. Immediately take the watch to an authorized service center to prevent further damage.
