Introduction
This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your ASUS TUF Gaming VG259Q monitor. The VG259Q is a 24.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS gaming monitor designed for an immersive gaming experience with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms (MPRT) response time. It incorporates ASUS's Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology, Adaptive-Sync, Shadow Boost, and Eye Care features for enhanced visual comfort and performance.

Setup
1. Package Contents
Before assembly, please check the package for the following items:

2. Assembling the Monitor Stand
- Place the monitor panel face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
- Attach the stand neck to the back of the monitor panel. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Attach the stand base to the stand neck. Tighten the captive screw at the bottom of the base to secure it.

3. Connecting the Monitor
Connect the monitor to your computer using one of the following methods:
- DisplayPort Connection: Connect one end of the DisplayPort cable to the monitor's DisplayPort input and the other end to your computer's DisplayPort output.
- HDMI Connection: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to one of the monitor's HDMI inputs (HDMI x2) and the other end to your computer's HDMI output.
- Audio Connection: If using external speakers or headphones, connect them to the monitor's Earphone Jack. The monitor also has built-in 2W stereo speakers.
- Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the monitor's power input, then plug the power cord into a power outlet.
After connecting, press the power button on the monitor to turn it on.
Operating the Monitor
1. On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu
The monitor features an exclusive 5-way OSD navigation joystick located on the rear of the monitor for easy access to settings. Press the joystick to open the OSD menu, then navigate up/down/left/right to select and adjust settings.
2. Display Features
- IPS Panel with Wide Viewing Angles: The IPS panel provides a 178° wide-viewing angle, ensuring minimal color shift and distortion from various perspectives.

- Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB): ASUS ELMB technology further reduces motion blur and ghosting, making moving objects appear sharper.
- Shadow Boost: This feature enhances image details in dark areas without overexposing brighter regions, helping to spot hidden enemies in games.

3. Ergonomic Adjustments
The monitor stand offers versatile adjustments to optimize your viewing comfort:
- Height Adjustment: Adjust the monitor's height (0~130mm range).
- Pivot: Rotate the screen 90 degrees (±90°) for portrait mode.
- Swivel: Swivel the monitor left or right (±90°).
- Tilt: Tilt the screen up or down (+33° ~ -5°).
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your monitor.
- Cleaning the Screen: Gently wipe the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn marks, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a specialized screen cleaner. Avoid using alcohol-based cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Cleaning the Casing: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the monitor casing. Do not use strong detergents or solvents.
- Power Off When Not in Use: Turn off the monitor when not in use for extended periods to save energy and prolong its lifespan.
