Setup
1. Power Connection
- Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the radio.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard wall outlet (100-240V, 50/60Hz).
- The radio will enter standby mode. Press the STANDBY button to turn it on.
2. Antenna Connection
For optimal reception of FM and DAB+ radio, ensure the included wire antenna is fully extended and positioned for best signal quality. The radio also supports internet radio via Wi-Fi, which does not require the wire antenna.
3. Under-Cabinet Mounting (Optional)
The Silver Star Chef can be mounted under kitchen cabinets or shelves using the provided mounting plate and screws.
- Select a suitable location under a cabinet or shelf, ensuring sufficient space for ventilation and operation.
- Attach the mounting plate to the underside of the cabinet using the supplied screws. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Slide the radio onto the mounting plate until it clicks into place.

4. Initial Setup and Network Connection
Upon first power-on, the radio will guide you through the initial setup process, including language selection and network configuration.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language.
- The radio will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password using the navigation controls and volume knob.
- Once connected, the radio will synchronize the time and date automatically.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Controls
- STANDBY Button: Press to turn the radio on or off (standby mode).
- MENU Button: Access the main menu or go back to the previous screen.
- FAV Button: Access your list of favorite stations. Press and hold to save the current station as a favorite.
- NAVIGATE / OK Knob: Rotate to scroll through menus or adjust volume. Press to confirm a selection.
- Volume Knob: Rotate to adjust the audio volume.
2. Radio Modes (Internet, DAB+, FM)
From the main menu, select your desired radio mode:
- Internet Radio: Access thousands of stations worldwide. Browse by genre, location, or search for specific stations.
- DAB+ Radio: Enjoy high-quality digital radio broadcasts. The radio will automatically scan for available DAB+ stations.
- FM Radio: Tune into traditional analog FM broadcasts. Use the scan function to find stations.
3. CD Player
The integrated CD player supports standard audio CDs and MP3 CDs.
- Select "CD" from the main menu.
- Gently insert a CD into the slot until it is pulled in automatically.
- Playback will begin automatically. Use the control buttons (Play/Pause, Skip) to manage playback.
- To eject the CD, press the Eject button (usually combined with the Stop button).

4. Bluetooth Connectivity
Stream audio wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
- Select "Bluetooth" from the main menu. The radio will enter pairing mode.
- On your external device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "auna Silver Star Chef" from the list to pair.
- Once paired, audio from your device will play through the radio.

5. USB Playback
Play MP3 files directly from a USB flash drive.
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the side of the radio.
- Select "USB" from the main menu.
- Browse your files and select the desired track for playback.
6. AUX Input
Connect external audio devices using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX IN port on the side of the radio.
- Connect the other end to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- Select "AUX" from the main menu.
- Control playback from your external device.
7. Alarm and Sleep Timer
The radio includes an alarm function to wake you up and a sleep timer to automatically turn off the radio after a set period.
- Setting Alarm: Navigate to the "Alarm" option in the system settings. Configure the alarm time, source (buzzer, radio), and volume.
- Setting Sleep Timer: Navigate to the "Sleep Timer" option in the system settings. Select the desired duration (e.g., 15, 30, 60 minutes).
8. App Control (Air Music Control)
Control your radio remotely using the "Air Music Control" app on your smartphone or tablet. Download the app from your device's app store.
- Ensure your smartphone/tablet and the radio are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the "Air Music Control" app. It should automatically detect your radio.
- Use the app to control various functions, including mode selection, station tuning, volume, and settings.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the radio. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- CD Player: Handle CDs by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Clean CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
- Storage: If storing the radio for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.
