Figure 3: Close-up view of the AP-2000 control panel, detailing the Power Supply Receptacle, Circuit Breaker, Power Switch, and Pressure Gauge.
Control Panel Overview
- Power Supply Receptacle: For connecting the main power cord.
- Circuit Breaker 10A: Protects the unit from electrical overload. If the unit stops working, check this breaker.
- Power Switch: Controls the unit's power and fan speed settings.
- Pressure Gauge: Indicates the air pressure within the system, which can be used to monitor filter status. A rising pressure reading typically indicates a clogged filter.
Starting the Unit
- Ensure the unit is properly connected to a power source.
- Locate the Power Switch on the control panel.
- Toggle the Power Switch to the desired fan speed setting:
- Position 'I' for 1000 CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) operation.
- Position 'II' for 2000 CFM operation.
- The unit will begin operating at the selected speed.
Shutting Down the Unit
- To turn off the unit, toggle the Power Switch to the 'O' (Off) position.
- For extended storage or maintenance, unplug the unit from the power outlet.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance of your XPOWER AP-2000 is crucial for optimal performance and longevity. This primarily involves monitoring and replacing the filters.
Filter System
The AP-2000 utilizes a multi-stage filtration system, including a dust control pre-filter and a framed HEPA filter.

Figure 4: The internal filter compartment of the AP-2000, showing the framed HEPA filter in place.
Monitoring Filter Status
- The Pressure Gauge on the control panel provides an indication of filter loading. As filters become clogged, the pressure reading will increase.
- Visually inspect the pre-filter regularly for excessive dust and debris accumulation.
Filter Replacement
Filters should be replaced when the pressure gauge indicates a significant increase, or when airflow noticeably decreases. The pre-filter will typically require more frequent replacement than the HEPA filter.
- Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
- Locate the filter access panel, typically at the intake side of the unit.
- Carefully remove the old pre-filter and HEPA filter. Dispose of contaminated filters according to local regulations.
- Insert new, genuine XPOWER replacement filters, ensuring they are seated correctly.
- Secure the filter access panel.
