Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Runleader HM058B, consider the following general troubleshooting steps:

  • No Display/Power: Check if the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the CR2450 battery if necessary.
  • Inaccurate RPM Readings: Ensure the signal wire is securely wrapped around the spark plug wire. Verify that the programmable firing pattern setting matches your engine type.
  • Hour Meter Not Advancing: Confirm the engine signal connection is secure. The hour meter only advances when the engine is running and detected.
  • Display Malfunction: If the display is frozen or showing incorrect characters, try removing and reinserting the battery to perform a soft reset.
  • Water Ingress: Although rated IP67 waterproof, ensure the device is properly sealed and not subjected to extreme water pressure or prolonged submersion beyond its rating.

For persistent issues, refer to the detailed instructions included with your product or contact customer support.
