Key Features:

  • Rechargeable Battery: Eliminates the need for disposable batteries. A 2-hour charge can last up to 180 days in Auto+Medium mode.
  • Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensor: Detects movement within 3-5 meters and automatically turns the light on.
  • Dusk to Dawn Sensor: Ensures the light only activates in dark conditions.
  • Adjustable Brightness: Two brightness levels (High and Medium) to suit different needs.
  • Multiple Lighting Modes: AUTO, ON, and OFF modes for flexible use.
  • Versatile Mounting: Features a magnetic strip and double-sided adhesive pads for easy installation, or can be placed on flat surfaces.
  • Compact and Portable: Lightweight design for easy placement and relocation.

Setup

1. Charging the Device:

  1. Before first use, fully charge the night light using the provided USB cable.
  2. Connect the USB cable to the charging port on the night light and to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or computer USB port.
  3. The charging indicator light will show the charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).
  4. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.

2. Mounting Options:

The night light offers flexible installation methods:

  • Magnetic Attachment: The light has a built-in magnetic strip. Attach it to any metallic surface. If mounting on a non-metallic surface, use the provided adhesive magnetic pad. Peel off the protective film from one side of the adhesive pad and stick it to the desired surface. Then, simply attach the night light magnetically to the pad.
  • Adhesive Pads: For non-magnetic surfaces, use the double-sided adhesive pads. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying.
  • Freestanding: The night light can also be placed on any flat surface such as a table, shelf, or countertop.

Operating Instructions

The AUVON night light features a mode switch and a brightness adjustment button.

1. Selecting Lighting Mode:

Use the slide switch on the top of the device to select one of the three modes:

  • OFF: The light is completely off.
  • ON: The light remains continuously on, regardless of motion or ambient light conditions.
  • AUTO: The light will automatically turn on when motion is detected in dark conditions. It will turn off approximately 20 seconds after no motion is detected. The integrated dusk-to-dawn sensor prevents activation in bright environments.

2. Adjusting Brightness:

Press the brightness button (often marked with a sun icon) on the top of the device to cycle between two brightness levels:

  • High Brightness: Provides maximum illumination.
  • Medium Brightness: Provides softer illumination, ideal for night use.

3. Motion Sensor Operation:

In AUTO mode, the Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor detects body heat and movement. For optimal performance:

  • Ensure the sensor is not obstructed.
  • The detection range is typically 3-5 meters (10-16 feet) with a 120-degree angle.
  • Avoid placing the light near heat sources or in areas with rapid temperature changes, as this may affect sensor accuracy.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the night light with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the battery when the light output diminishes. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently to prolong its lifespan.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, charge it periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) to maintain battery health. Store in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Light does not turn on in AUTO mode.

  • Move within the sensor's detection range (3-5 meters).
  • Recharge the night light.
  • Clear any obstructions from the sensor.
Light stays on continuously in AUTO mode.
  • Constant motion in detection area.
  • Light placed near heat source or air vent.
  • Relocate the light to an area with less constant activity.
  • Move the light away from heat sources or drafts that might trigger the sensor.
Light is dim or flickers.
  • Battery is low.
  • Recharge the night light fully.
Light does not charge.
  • Faulty USB cable or power adapter.
  • Charging port issue.
