The hub features an adjustable clamp for secure attachment to various surfaces. The clamp spacing is designed to accommodate thicknesses between 0.2 inches (5mm) and 1.2 inches (30mm).
- Identify a suitable edge on your desk, monitor, or nightstand. Ensure the surface is flat for optimal grip. Curved surfaces with rounded edges or large arcs may not allow for proper tightening.
- Loosen the screw on the clamp mechanism by turning it counter-clockwise to open the clamp.
- Position the hub on the desired edge. The clamp features soft silicone pads to prevent scratches on your furniture or monitor.
- Tighten the screw by turning it clockwise until the hub is securely fastened. Do not overtighten.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ORICO USB 3.0 Hub Clamp, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the hub. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the aluminum alloy finish.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the hub in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Care: Avoid bending or kinking the USB cables excessively to prevent internal wire damage.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ORICO USB 3.0 Hub Clamp, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Device Not Recognized:
- Ensure the hub's main USB cable is securely connected to both the hub and your computer.
- Try connecting the hub to a different USB port on your computer.
- Restart your computer.
- Slow Data Transfer Speed:
- Verify that both the hub and your connected devices are USB 3.0 compatible. USB 2.0 devices will operate at USB 2.0 speeds.
- If connecting high-power devices, ensure an external 5V2A power adapter is connected to the hub's power supply port.
- Avoid connecting too many high-power devices simultaneously without external power.
- Hub Not Powering On (LED off):
- Check all cable connections.
- Ensure your computer's USB port is functioning correctly by testing it with another device.
