4. Setup and Installation

The Bingfu 4G LTE Cellular Antenna is designed for easy outdoor installation, suitable for wall or tree mounting. Follow these steps for optimal performance:

4.1 Choosing a Location

Select a location that provides the clearest line of sight to the nearest cellular tower and is free from obstructions like large buildings or dense foliage. Mounting the antenna as high as possible is recommended for best signal reception.

4.2 Mounting the Bracket

  1. Position the wall mount bracket at your desired installation point.
  2. Mark the four screw holes on the mounting surface.
  3. Use the provided self-tapping screws to securely fasten the bracket to the wall or tree. Ensure the bracket is firmly attached to prevent movement.

4.3 Attaching the Antenna to the Bracket

  1. Insert the antenna's threaded base through the hole in the mounting bracket.
  2. Place the red waterproof rubber ring, washer, and nut onto the threaded base from the underside of the bracket.
  3. Tighten the nut securely to fix the antenna to the bracket. Ensure the waterproof ring is properly seated to maintain the rainproof seal.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the Bingfu 4G LTE Cellular Antenna is installed and connected, its operation is passive. The antenna works by receiving and transmitting cellular signals to and from your connected device. No additional configuration or power supply is required for the antenna itself.

  • Ensure your connected device (e.g., router, trail camera) is powered on and configured to use an external antenna if applicable. Refer to your device's manual for specific settings.
  • Monitor the signal strength indicator on your device to confirm improved reception.

Compatibility: This antenna is compatible with a wide range of 4G LTE devices, including:

  • 4G LTE Mobile Routers, Mobile Broadband Modem Hotspots, CPE Routers, Cellular Gateways.
  • Vehicle Car Truck RV Bus Van Mobile Cellular systems.
  • Almost all Cellular Trail Cameras, such as SPYPOINT Link S/LINK S DARK/LINK MICRO LTE TWIN/LINK MICRO S LTE/Flex Dual-Sim/Link EVO/LINK-MICRO-LTE-V/Link Micro VZN Version/Link Micro Solar/micro wm-v/LINK-W/SPYPOINT CELL LINK 4G LTE Cellular Trail Camera, Game Camera, Hunting Camera, Outdoor Security Camera, Cellular Surveillance Camera.
  • Vehicle 4G LTE Trackers, Real Time Monitors, Mobile Vehicle Car DVR MDVR Video Recorders.

6. Maintenance

The Bingfu 4G LTE Cellular Antenna requires minimal maintenance due to its durable and waterproof design. To ensure long-term performance:

  • Periodically inspect the antenna and its mounting bracket for any signs of physical damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
  • Ensure the cable connections remain tight and free from moisture.
  • Gently clean the antenna's exterior with a soft, damp cloth if it accumulates dirt or debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • In areas prone to extreme weather, consider checking the mounting stability after severe storms.

7. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your Bingfu 4G LTE Cellular Antenna, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

7.1 Poor Signal Reception

  • Check Antenna Placement: Ensure the antenna is mounted in an optimal location, as high as possible and with minimal obstructions between it and the cellular tower. Even small changes in position can significantly affect signal strength.
  • Verify Connections: Confirm that all cable connections are secure and properly tightened. A loose connection can degrade signal quality.
  • Inspect Cable: Check the 10-foot coaxial cable for any kinks, cuts, or damage. Damaged cables can lead to signal loss.
  • Device Settings: Ensure your connected device is correctly configured to use an external antenna. Some devices may require specific settings adjustments.
  • Network Coverage: Confirm that there is adequate cellular network coverage in your area. This antenna enhances existing signals but cannot create a signal where none exists.

7.2 No Signal at All

  • Adapter Check: If using the RP-SMA adapter, ensure it is correctly attached and compatible with your device's port.
  • Device Functionality: Test your connected device with its original antenna (if applicable) or in a known good signal area to rule out issues with the device itself.
  • Cable Continuity: If possible, test the continuity of the coaxial cable to ensure it is not broken internally.
