Installation Instructions

Follow these steps carefully for a safe and secure installation.

Pre-Installation Checks

  1. Check TV VESA Pattern: Ensure your TV's VESA pattern (mounting holes on the back) falls within 100x100mm to 600x400mm.
  2. Check TV Weight: Confirm your TV weighs no more than 132 lbs (60 kg).
  3. Identify Wall Type: Determine if your wall is wood stud, solid concrete, or brick. This mount is not for drywall alone.

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Attach TV Brackets to TV

Carefully place your TV face down on a soft, clean surface. Attach the two vertical TV brackets to the back of your TV using the appropriate screws, washers, and spacers from the hardware kit. Ensure the brackets are centered and securely fastened. The hooks on the brackets should face upwards.

2. Assemble and Position Wall Plate

The wall plate comes in two pieces for easier handling and wider stud compatibility. Assemble the two pieces using the provided screws. Determine the desired height and horizontal position for your TV. Use a stud finder to locate wood studs if applicable. Mark the drilling locations on the wall.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and safe operation of your TV wall mount, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
  • Periodic Checks: Every few months, check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
  • Inspect for Damage: Regularly inspect the mount for any signs of wear, corrosion, or damage. If any issues are found, contact customer support.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your MOUNTUP MU0008 TV wall mount, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • TV Not Level: Ensure the wall plate was installed level. If the TV brackets allow for minor horizontal adjustment, make small corrections. Otherwise, the wall plate may need re-installation.
  • Difficulty Tilting: Check that the tilt adjustment knobs are sufficiently loosened before attempting to tilt. Ensure no cables are obstructing the movement.
  • TV Feels Unstable: Immediately remove the TV from the mount. Re-check all installation steps, especially the wall plate attachment and the TV bracket locking system. Ensure all bolts are securely tightened and the wall type is appropriate.
