Setup and Initial Winding

Your OLEVS Automatic Mechanical Watch is powered by a self-winding movement that relies on the natural motion of your wrist. It does not require a battery. For the watch to function correctly, it must be wound manually before its first use or if it has stopped.

Initial Winding

  1. Ensure the crown is in its normal position (position 1, fully pushed in).
  2. Turn the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This provides the initial power reserve.
  3. For continuous operation, wear the watch for at least 8 hours daily. If the watch stops or loses time, manually wind it again.

Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out one click (position 2).
  2. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Note: AM/PM can be determined by observing the 24-hour sub-dial or moon phase indicator (if present) at the 6 o'clock position.
  3. Push the crown back into its normal position (position 1).

Setting the Date and Day

Important: Do not set the Date and Day between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this may damage the watch movement.

  • Date: Use the adjustment button labeled 'B' (refer to diagram) to advance the date hand to the correct day of the month.
  • Day: Use the adjustment button labeled 'D' (refer to diagram) to advance the day hand to the correct day of the week.

Setting the Month and Year

  • Month: Use the adjustment button labeled 'A' (refer to diagram) to advance the month display to the correct month.
  • Year: Use the adjustment button labeled 'C' (refer to diagram) to advance the year display to the correct year.

Bracelet Adjustment

The watch comes with a strap adjustment tool to customize the fit. To adjust the stainless steel bracelet:

  1. Identify the pins on the side of the bracelet links.
  2. Use the provided tool to push out the pins in the direction of the arrows (usually found on the inside of the links).
  3. Remove the desired number of links to achieve a comfortable fit.
  4. Reinsert the pins to secure the bracelet.

Operating Your Watch

Your OLEVS Automatic Mechanical Watch is designed for daily wear and features several functions:

  • Self-Winding Movement: The watch is powered by your natural wrist movements. Consistent daily wear (at least 8 hours) is recommended to maintain the power reserve.
  • Tourbillon Skeleton Design: The visible tourbillon mechanism at the 6 o'clock position is a feature of the mechanical movement.
  • Multi-Calendar Displays: The watch includes sub-dials for the day of the week, date of the month, and month/year windows, allowing for comprehensive time tracking.
  • Luminous Function: The hands and hour markers are treated with a luminous material, allowing for readability in low-light conditions after exposure to light.
  • Water Resistance: The watch is 3ATM water-resistant, suitable for daily splashes, rain, and hand washing. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, or showering.

Care and Maintenance

Proper care will help preserve the accuracy and appearance of your OLEVS watch.

  • Water Resistance: While 3ATM water-resistant, avoid exposing the watch to hot water, steam, or direct high-pressure water jets. Do not operate the crown or buttons when the watch is wet.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For the stainless steel bracelet, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid Shocks: Mechanical watches are delicate. Avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to strong impacts.
  • Temperature Extremes: Protect the watch from extreme temperatures (both hot and cold) and sudden temperature changes.
  • Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, computers), as these can affect the accuracy of the mechanical movement.

Troubleshooting

Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter with your OLEVS Automatic Mechanical Watch:

Problem Possible Cause / Solution
Watch stops or runs for only a few hours.

The watch may not be sufficiently wound. As an automatic watch, it requires wrist movement to maintain its power reserve. If not worn regularly, it will stop.

Solution: Manually wind the watch by turning the crown clockwise 30-40 times while it is fully pushed in (position 1). Wear the watch for at least 8 hours daily.

Watch runs fast or slow.

Mechanical watches can have slight variations in accuracy. Exposure to strong magnetic fields or impacts can also affect timekeeping.

Solution: Keep the watch away from magnetic sources. If accuracy issues persist significantly (e.g., more than +/- 2 minutes per week), consult customer support.

Difficulty setting date/day.

Ensure you are not attempting to set the date/day between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement. Refer to the "Setting the Date and Day" section.

Solution: If the sub-dials are difficult to read, ensure adequate lighting. For the day of the week, it may require advancing the main hands through 24-hour cycles until the correct day is displayed.

Second hand does not stop when setting time.

This model does not feature a "hacking" mechanism (where the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out). This is a common characteristic of some mechanical movements.

Solution: Set the time as accurately as possible without stopping the second hand. Precise synchronization with external devices may not be feasible.

Bracelet clasp opens unexpectedly.

The clasp may require adjustment or may have been subjected to impact.

Solution: Inspect the clasp for any visible damage or misalignment. If the issue persists, professional adjustment or replacement of the clasp may be necessary.
