Controls and Indicators
Familiarize yourself with the buttons and display on your iBT234 speaker.

Top Panel Controls:

- Power Button: Turns the unit on/off.
- Volume Down (-): Decreases volume.
- Bluetooth Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Volume Up (+): Increases volume.
- Alarm 1 Button: Sets or activates/deactivates Alarm 1.
- Alarm 2 Button: Sets or activates/deactivates Alarm 2.
- Play/Pause Button: Plays or pauses audio in Bluetooth mode.
- Previous Track Button: Skips to the previous track in Bluetooth mode or tunes down FM frequency.
- Next Track Button: Skips to the next track in Bluetooth mode or tunes up FM frequency.
- Sleep Button (Moon icon): Activates sleep timer.
- Snooze/Dimmer Button (ZZZ): Snoozes active alarm or adjusts display brightness.

- DC-IN Jack: Connects to the included power adapter.

Setup
1. Power Connection
- Connect the included power adapter to the DC-IN jack on the rear of the iBT234.
- Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The unit will power on automatically.
2. Setting the Time
- Press and hold the Time Set Button on the rear of the unit until the time display flashes.
- Use the Previous Track or Next Track buttons on the top panel to adjust the hour. Press the Time Set Button again to confirm the hour.
- Use the Previous Track or Next Track buttons to adjust the minutes. Press the Time Set Button again to confirm the minutes.
- Continue to set the year, month, and date using the same method.
- Press the Time Set Button one last time to exit time setting mode.
3. Setting Alarms
The iBT234 features two independent alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2).
- Press and hold either the Alarm 1 Button or Alarm 2 Button until the alarm time display flashes.
- Use the Previous Track or Next Track buttons to adjust the alarm hour. Press the respective Alarm Button to confirm.
- Use the Previous Track or Next Track buttons to adjust the alarm minutes. Press the respective Alarm Button to confirm.
- Select the alarm source (Bluetooth, FM Radio, or built-in tone) using the Previous Track or Next Track buttons. Press the respective Alarm Button to confirm.
- Adjust the alarm volume using the Volume Down (-) or Volume Up (+) buttons. Press the respective Alarm Button to confirm.
- Select the alarm schedule (Every Day, Weekdays, or Weekends) using the Previous Track or Next Track buttons. Press the respective Alarm Button to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
To activate or deactivate an alarm, press the corresponding Alarm Button briefly. An alarm icon will appear on the display when active.
Operating Instructions
1. Bluetooth Pairing
- Press the Power Button to turn on the unit.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth Button until the Bluetooth icon flashes on the display. The unit is now in pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "iHome iBT234" from the list of devices.
- Once paired, the Bluetooth icon on the speaker's display will glow solid, and a confirmation tone will sound.
- You can now play audio from your device through the iBT234 speaker.
2. FM Radio Operation
- Press the Power Button to turn on the unit.
- Press the Bluetooth Button repeatedly to cycle through modes until "FM" appears on the display.
- Use the Previous Track or Next Track buttons to manually tune to a desired FM station. Press and hold these buttons for auto-scan.
- To save an FM preset, press and hold one of the numbered preset buttons (1-4) on the top panel until the display flashes. Press the same preset button again to confirm.
- To recall a preset station, briefly press the corresponding numbered preset button.
3. Speakerphone Function
When your phone is paired via Bluetooth and a call comes in:
- Press the Play/Pause Button to answer an incoming call.
- Press the Play/Pause Button again to end the call.
4. Sleep Mode
The sleep mode allows you to fall asleep to audio, which will automatically turn off after a set duration.
- While audio is playing, press the Sleep Button (Moon icon).
- Repeatedly press the Sleep Button to cycle through available sleep timer durations (e.g., 120, 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, or OFF).
- The audio will play for the selected duration and then automatically turn off.
5. Display Dimmer
To adjust the brightness of the display:
- Press the Snooze/Dimmer Button (ZZZ) repeatedly to cycle through different brightness levels (High, Medium, Low, Off).
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
Battery Backup
The unit may contain an internal backup battery to maintain time settings during power outages. If the time is incorrect after a power loss, refer to the "Setting the Time" section.
Troubleshooting
