5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will extend the life and performance of your RC car:

  • Cleaning: After each use, especially in dirty or wet conditions, clean the vehicle to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air. Avoid using water directly on electronic components unless specifically designed for it (IPX4 rating protects against splashes, not submersion).
  • Inspection: Periodically check for loose screws, damaged parts, or worn tires. Tighten any loose fasteners. Replace damaged components promptly.
  • Battery Care: Always store batteries in a dry, cool, and clean place. If not using the batteries for a long period, it is recommended to charge them every 7 days to prevent over-discharging and maintain battery health.
  • Lubrication: Occasionally lubricate moving parts like gears and bearings with appropriate RC lubricant to reduce friction and wear.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HAIBOXING RC Car, refer to the table below for common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible Cause & Solution
Stopped working after a few use
  • Check if the vehicle can be bound with the transmitter or not.
  • Check if either it does not go forwards or backward, or it does not steer.
  • Make sure there are not any damaged parts in the drive train.
  • Verify if the motor and the steering servo or the ESC malfunctioned.
  • The solutions will be given immediately after the problems have been visualized, contact the seller via Amazon Message.
Steering works but the car won't run
  • Make sure the battery power is sufficient. The ESC won't drive but the steering servo sometimes does by low battery power.
  • Verify if the motor and the ESC function properly.
  • Check if the drivetrains are not clogged. No stripped gears, no hoarse noise, no floppy wheels and no missing drive shafts.
Not go straight
  • Tune the Steering Trim on the transmitter.
  • Make the steering links and the steering servo undamaged. Make sure there are no deformed parts found in the steering system.
  • Make sure the tires are properly locked. No tires wobbling.
Batteries can't take charge
  • Check if the USB charging cable works or not.
  • Do not leave the batteries idle for a long time. Charge the batteries regularly to avoid damage from over-discharging.
Not go reverse
  • Do not push and pull the trigger back and forth too rapidly. To go reverse, please always center the trigger and then push it a second time.
  • Please try re-binding. If this problem still occurs, replace with the new transmitter and the ESC.
One of the wheels does not turnThe drive shaft that drives the wheel has come away or is damaged or the wheel is not well secured.
Shuts off itselfThis problem may arise from the low battery voltage cutoff or overheat cutoff. Charging the batteries or waiting until the ESC is cooled down. If the problem still occurs, replace with the new ESC.
No signal connection, binding failurePlease try with fresh batteries and try in the other place. Make sure you have not driven it out of range. If the problem still occurs, please contact us for parts' replacement service.
Not steeringMake sure it does not steer properly or it does not steer in the least. Make sure the steering posts, steering links, or the servo saver and the steering servo are all in good working order. Make sure no objects are invading in and hampering the steering system.
Smaller than expectedIt is typically a 1/12th hobby grade RC vehicle with proportional steering and throttle control, fast and well-constructed. It is fun to drive. Make a try and enjoy an authentic drive.
Missing partsAlthough every car has been strictly tested before leaving the factory, inadvertent mistakes or damage during transportation may occur. If it is the case, please contact us for assistance.
The car run itself when switched onPlease re-bind. Do not move the trigger and steering wheel until the vehicle has been bound with the transmitter. If the problem still occurs, please contact us for assistance.
