Operating Instructions
- Check Current Tire Pressure: Use the integrated 120-psi pressure gauge or a separate tire gauge to check the current tire pressure. Note the recommended pressure for your Class B Motorhome tires (typically found on a sticker inside the driver's side door or in the vehicle manual).
- Inflate Tire:
- Turn the inflator's power switch to the "ON" position. The LED work light will illuminate.
- Monitor the pressure gauge as the tire inflates.
- Once the desired pressure is reached, turn the inflator's power switch to the "OFF" position.
- Disconnect the air chuck from the tire valve stem.
- Airing Down (Optional): For off-road conditions, you may choose to "air down" your tires for increased traction and a smoother ride.
- Specialized brass tire deflators (not included) can be screwed onto the valve stem to quickly release air to a preset pressure.
- Always consult your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations or off-roading guides for appropriate aired-down pressures.
- After airing down, remember to reinflate your tires to the recommended on-road pressure before returning to paved surfaces.
Maintenance
- Keep Clean: Regularly inspect the inflator for dirt and debris, especially around the air intake. Keep the base clean to prevent foreign objects from entering the unit.
- Air Filter: The inflator is equipped with an air filter. Check it periodically and replace if dirty to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Storage: After use, disconnect all components and store them neatly in the provided carrying bag. Ensure the air hose is coiled properly to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure battery clamps are securely connected to the correct terminals (+ to red, - to black). Check your vehicle's battery for sufficient charge.
- Slow Inflation: Verify that the air chuck is tightly screwed onto the tire valve stem to prevent air leaks. Ensure the air hose connections are secure.
- Overheating: If the unit becomes excessively hot during prolonged use, turn it off and allow it to cool down before resuming operation. Adhere to the recommended duty cycle.
