Usage Guidelines:

  • Step onto the designated step pads when entering or exiting the vehicle.
  • Ensure your footwear has adequate grip, especially in wet or muddy conditions.
  • Do not use the nerf bars as a jacking point for the vehicle.
  • The maximum weight capacity is 500 lbs. Do not exceed this limit.

8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your APS iArmor Nerf Bars.

  • Cleaning: Clean the nerf bars regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the matte black powder-coated finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the nerf bars and all mounting hardware for any signs of damage, corrosion, or looseness. Tighten any loose fasteners immediately.
  • Rust Resistance: The 304 stainless steel construction and powder-coated finish provide rust resistance and UV protection. However, prolonged exposure to harsh elements or damage to the coating can lead to corrosion. Address any chips or scratches in the finish promptly.

9. Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

  • Issue: Nerf bars appear to sit too low or expose pinch welds.
  • Solution: Ensure all brackets are installed correctly and oriented as per the instructions. Some vehicle designs may inherently show more of the pinch weld than others. Verify that the correct model-specific product was purchased.
  • Issue: Loose fit or rattling.
  • Solution: Re-check all mounting hardware for proper tightness. Over time, vibrations can cause fasteners to loosen.
  • Issue: Difficulty aligning the steps.
  • Solution: Loosen the mounting bolts slightly to allow for minor adjustments. Once aligned, tighten all bolts securely.
